Ethereum has a clear, identified leader: Vitalik Buterin.

BTC had Gavin Andreesen as its frontman for a long time, and now that he's gone, BTC has stalled. Well, it's actually more complicated than this, but everybody can see that BTC has a governance problem [...]

Then again,
Germany had Hitler

@From Above

This is the first and last time we're having an exchange, as I'm now ignoring you. I won't see your posts anymore. Sorry Sir, but there are no places for making a reference to nazi Germany in an average conversation such as this topic.

hmm strange i had no idea Vitalik had a "good" reputation.. news to me LOL

Take my money now ?

EDIT:
I love how you guys think ETH's centralized figure is comparable to a decentralized coin team member.
Like in your warped minds the two are actually comparable LOL

Jeez you guys are REALLY reaching to try and prop up ETH eh ?
It shows extreme desperation.. as the price slides.

Actually, I would prefer to support a decentralized organization like the one behind BTC, but I just see it's not working. I'll change my mind when the scalability issue will be solved. This summer, maybe?

By the way, I'm not saying Vitalik Buterin has a good reputation (or not). I don't know him. I can't say. What I'm saying is that he is knowledgeable, and very active in his projects. He has created the one and only altcoin that may one day challenge BTC.

Oh I though the edge of ETH is that there are more people believing in it during its early stage whereas bitcoin has only a few.

if ETH could survive a couple of years (as long as bitcoin had survived) ans still remain popular, and also the important part its dev stayed for that long and continued contributing to the code then compare it with bitcoin.

uhmmmm, nahhhh, u got something very wrong my nifty boy Smiley

'Reductio ad Hitlerum is a humorous observation where someone compares an opponent's views with those that would be held by Hitler or the Nazi Party.'

i dont compare any1s views with those that would be held by hitler, the nazi party or even ur momma.  i was saying that such ' strong leader ' can certainly lead to collapse of dem project, be it germania or etheruria.

Next step on your lack of education: try grammar.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAR my nifty boy  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

pS.: u can replace hitler with any other nifty leader, be it hilary clinton or king salman bin abdulaziz al saud, it doesnt matter.

Ethereum has a clear, identified leader: Vitalik Buterin.

The guy's now well-known, and respected because of his great knowledge of anything related to crypto-currencies. BTC had Gavin Andreesen as its frontman for a long time, and now that he's gone, BTC has stalled. Well, it's actually more complicated than this, but everybody can see that BTC has a governance problem. The block size and scalability issue has been hanging above our heads for 3 quarters. Ethereum, nor any altcoin, suffers from the same lack of vision, because there's a manager at the top who is able to fix things, and solve problems when they arise.

Decentralization is certainly an exciting concept, but it doesn't make things easy when there's a problem.

A known dev is a dble edged sword. What happens if VB gets caught doing something 'naughty'? Ethereum would tank. Is this likely? You bet it is. VB is only human, and you can bet your ass people are scrutinizing him closely. He's a liability as the front man, all front men are. Just imagine if he got caught with a bag of pot, or lurking in a gay beat? Ethereum price would fall faster than a banker can say sharapova.

decentralization is hard to achieve, but it's still the best way for crypto. Torrent network is impossible to stop coz there's no leader
