It won't "see" the new addresses... Instead, it'll "see" the transactions that use the current lot of change addresses and then it will generate new change addresses using the wallet seed and appropriate derivation path as per Electrum's "Gap Limit" setup... (assuming you have the "use change addresses" option checked in preferences)

If you have not altered the "Gap Limit" for either wallet, then they will be identical clones and should display identical info (assuming they're both fully synced) and generate the same number of (identical) addresses.

For instance, if you send a transaction from Wallet 1, it should reflect that in Wallet 2 almost instantly (allowing for network latency etc). Same for receiving a transaction. It should reflect in both wallets at the same time.

1. It will generate new change addresses when it needs to automatically

2. If computer 2 is online then once again it'll generate new addresses when it learns that it needs to. Here's a more detailed explanation https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.18535357

Note that the default gap limit for receive addresses is 20 and for change addresses it's 6.

I had to read point 2 and the linked post a good couple of times to get it Smiley
So computer 2 will "see" the new addresses automatically, because it'll find out that all the change addresses are used.
Thanks for your answers.

For a better mix of safety and convenience I use Electrum on 2 computers. I have a paranoia about smartphones being unsafe and prone to stealing, so I use computers for spend wallets.

So I have on 2 computers Electrum. On both computers the wallets have the same seed words and deviation path. Clone.
Sooner or later my default list of "change" addresses will have all of them used.

1. I assume that at that point Electrum will add by default to the list a new bunch of change addresses. Is that right, or do I have to do anything myself for this?

2. What will happen on "computer 2" when some amounts will go to one of those new change addresses? Will they be detected automatically or not? Is there a chance that I'll get to the point computer1 will have a list of addresses and computer2 another (of course, the first ~20 will stay identical).
