I really appreciate you for sharing this painful experience you had and I hope we can learn from this. If you paid particular attention to the video the scammer sent, you would have suspected. Personally, I won't trade my cryptocurrencies with you if I don't know you in person. I will rather go to the exchange.

So this guy PM me on telegram and show me his balance on his metamask as a newbie on this and Im the one in need I agree to send my altcoins first our transaction will be divided by 2, Ill send the half of my altcoins and he will send me 1 ETH then again.

So after sending him half of my altcoins he sended me the ETH he send a video proof to make the next transaction.

What was this deal you were going to do? Why were you going to send your altcoins to him? You were going to send him your altcoins and he'd send you one ETH?  Huh
It's definitely unwise to trade with strangers, not because of this but because they don't have any reason to send you anything  Undecided

Thanks for the heads up. Do not really transact with a stranger. It is better to use some exchange site so sell altcoins so that it is legit.

Whenever anyone texts you and says he will send you a coin but you need to send him something first don't ever listen to this bullshit. The only way you can gest free coins is from a legitimate airdrop.

Lesson learned after scammed by this scammer. Exchange would be a good idea as stated by 1993jochico. Escrow is good to very secure as there is someone between you and the buyer vice versa from the escrow.

~
In the video the transaction is confirmed so I believe him and make the 2nd transaction I send the rest of my altcoins and he will send again another 1 ETH.
you shouldn't easily believe a proof provided by other party unless confirmed/verified by third party
in this case, you could simply check your ETH balance before proceeding to the next transaction
you failed to do the basic thing in accepting crypto payment, check and wait for confirmation on blockchain

Actually I dont really have an idea about that before this happen and thats my first time to deal with other people in cryptocurrency and I am really in need of money that's why I take the risk.
you could've used exchanges to sell your altcoin for ETH, less risk and more secure
or you could've asked a trusted escrow to help you with the trade transaction

When you trade crypto escrow would be a great way to avoid getting scammed because they have a midman who will be the one to tell you to send. He/she will be the one who managed your transactions but of course you have to pay. It will cost you money but your trades are all success.

I would suggest only buy coins from regulated websites and don't trust individuals.

The testnet red mark was clearly visible to his video by the way. Sorry for your lose.

Yep but person without enough technical knowledge didnt understand this red flag.
Knowledge is everything in bitcoin world, you must learn to know what you are doing and how to be safe. Computer security is very hard, consist of simple steps but to know why you need to follow this steps helps.

From your story we can get three tips:

 - Do not make transactions with unknown people: especially if you communicate with you using methods that are easily accessible "Telegram, email,...etc".
 - ask for TxHash: Many scammers send photos or video as payment proof, which can be manipulated easily.
 - Do not send first: or use an escrow.

Thanks for shearing.

Move this topic to the scam accusations board. Also add the information of the scammer.

This is not a scam accusation topic, the purpose of this is to inform everyone about this trick so I think this will fit here as the section name Beginners & Help.

Actually I dont really have an idea about that before this happen and thats my first time to deal with other people in cryptocurrency and I am really in need of money that's why I take the risk.

Also you missed the ETH value in USD

Thanks for the additional information.

BTW I have any other information from him aside from his telegram and e-mail that he used.

Hi to all, I would like to share this experience Im actually a victim of this trick so Im here to share this trick to you and dont be a victim like me.

Note: Please inform me if this violates any rules and I will delete the OP.

Last night I have a deal on this unknown user who wants to buy my altcoin and Im willing to sell it because I really need a money right now.

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecaLq8t7l7U

In the video the transaction is confirmed so I believe him and make the 2nd transaction I send the rest of my altcoins and he will send again another 1 ETH.

After that I wait for more than hour hoping for my 2 ETH so I chat him again and hes gone, in that time I have a suspision that it is a scam and yes it is.

I ask my friend how it happen's when it clearly shows in the video that the transaction is sent.

So heres the answer:

As of now I already moved on and consider it a charge to experience, but I dont want other users here to be a victim of this.

Showing a scammer tricks to the public will make them to think of another way on how to scam others so Good luck and take care on your every transactions.
