Sorry to start a new thread since the topic is different from before
If I find an old coin, the node not working and nobody use it anymore.it is dead
Since nobody use it, I am thinking to upload the wallet and change the node and let it run.
Use the same code, the same coin name, is it possible? Easy to re publish

This could work if you have a plan for the coin. The key is to be earnest in your efforts and sincere in your approach.

that like relaunch coin, but you need confirmation for some investor to take over that coin
you must know what problem that coin, if any indication scam don't do it you will get neg trust and more people will give you scamer cap

People have been trying to revive dead $hitcoins for years and nothing ever came out of it.  Reality is if a coin "died" (as in no NODEs and under 5 figure capitalization) then nobody wanted it in the first place.

NAS relaunch was successful, it can happen sometimes

For altcoin, I must always keep mining in order to get sync for all the people? Sometimes I lose sync if I stop mining, so better to setup miner always mining, so a pos coin better in order to save power?

Somebody brought NAS coin back to life. It's network had stopped for months beforehand and nobody was interested in it. However, it's had $6,124 worth of trades today, and far more than that over each of the days during last week. Some people are showing an interest in it now.

Any way to know the height of the old chain?
Not really, without connected to a node using the old chain

I just mine and make the chain longer, that will be enough?
Yes, as long as it has the most work. The chain with the hardest difficulty is accepted, AFAIK

Or I can recompile and change a few parameters in the code such as the time for the block to make it easier to mine in the beginning so I can easilier make the chain long
No. Only the chain with the most difficulty is accepted.

If you try to remake a coin, I think it would be best to restart from the beginning, just using the same genesis block. It would also be difficult to find the old blockchain if the coin is no longer used.

If you harvest more blocks on your chain than on the old chain, your chain can become the leading chain. If people join in the future, they will be likely to join yours if you announce it.

You could do that, but it might seem suspicious if you announce it. There have been a couple instances where people re-announced a coin but had embedded malware into the new wallet. Be careful if you do this.
