It's so heartbreaking how some so-called crypto enthusiasts tend to taint the name of this industry making it seem that it is unsafe. Sometimes I tend to buy into the idea of regulating crypto activities because it seems we can never get rid of these scammers and their activities.

Recently, we’ve published an investigation into a large-scale Ponzi-scheme called OneCoin. The scheme had its branches in several different countries across several continents, defrauding people of billions of dollars.

The project appeared dead and its official website onecoin.eu was shut down as of November 30th, 2019. But, since January 8th, 2020, the website is back online.

It seems that the scheme is still operating, at least in New Zealand.

forklog.media puts together the latest findings regarding OneCoin’s fate, as well as a brief reminder about its notorious past.

Damn, only ignorant or greedy people will still fall prey. So people still do crypto ponzi schemes? That's weird kind of, since by now I believe crypto enthusiasts will be wiser. Or maybe they defraud those who have no idea about crypto? I'm still trying to figure this out. Onecoin really ripped many people off their hard earned funds, I read an article some time ago saying their founders have been apprehended.

They are now trying to attack everyone who have never heard of it before? I mean I understand why they ran away from Europe and why they didn't picked USA but going to New Zealand and attacking the samoan people and their community is literally the bare bottom of what leeches would do. Didn't they made insane amount of money already, why do they have to squeeze in every penny they can out of every possible person they can? They already have enough money to live forever without worrying about getting caught, the lady at the top could afford to get a new identity, new passports, new face actually from a surgeon, she can start a very very rich life in anywhere in the world but they decide against that and continue scamming people? Really really horrible people.

Look at the Scam Accusations board, many ponzi schemes have been caught and reported there so that many people know that this is a true fraud.
OneCoin is also the same as a ponzi scheme under the guise of different so many are victims of them, we have to analyze what we are investing right if you find a project by offering gratuity then do not do it and it is clear Ponzi scheme.

Ponzi scheme is very dangerous, especially OneCoin has deceived many people with the lure of a big return. Is it possible that with the return onlines, the WB site will have a new strategy to prey on its victims? I am worried about this.
Because in my area there have been many victims of the Ponzi scheme and this is not from OneCoin but he also has branches in various countries so this must be careful not to be fooled by the offer.
We should analyze every decision that we are making because we can't easily guarantee if their intention was good, it's the reason why we have to be cautious particularly these days that they are capable on finding a new way to deceive us such as using promises and sweet lies to manipulate people's way of thinking. We should acquire our own experiences to avoid having the same mistake and facing the same situation since one mistake can change everything that's why we have to think carefully to make sure that our funds are safe and secured from scammers. We can't just trust and believe their promises because it will be useless if being greedy strikes them, you will just end up with nothing and regret your own decisions.
It's much better if we can advise newcomers in the cryptocurrency world about what to look for or look after especially with investing, that makes it much easier to weed out scams like this. Or they can report this to the local authorities if they can. But I highly doubt the latter will work since as they mentioned these perpetrators are connected all across several continents. So unless countries work together to ban this onecoin, advising people will be much better.

I'm getting a "Suspected Phishing Site Ahead!" warning while trying to reach the site. Every of other onecoin links are down and the onecoin.eu could have been restricted by cloudflare for being an obvious scam. Or some people having access to the site might have put some malware in the site for last minute conversion.

Onecoin ponzi project is not a dead project, maybe some time ago they did deliberately go offline for their website, which they definitely planned to clear their names, the term eliminates traces, and now they are on again to look for another time. This should have been anticipated given the number of people who are tempted by their promising programs. Now 2020 is good for altcoin growth, and this will also be used by scammers for action.

How many people have lost money and maybe even lost their families due to this coin, I think if they want to revive we must help expand the information that this is a scam project, so that no more people get caught in this fraud

Someone just need to create a report to the NewZealand authority and i believe if the regulators in newzealand will also ban it. When the scam ponzi is getting banned and it will try to do a re-brand by use the new domain. This one has already banned in almost all of the countries and so many people have very well known about what onecoin is but this scammer looks like never give up.
I just hope the main operator of onecoin will be caught.
