I play at a couple of sites, some sites offer a great community, Support from the players and moderators....  To bad some sites don't offer a great community..  for example, "Bitsler" just recently a friend got his account blocked for tipping because he made a profit and decided to exchanged his bitcoin profit  into another coin.. then he decided to tip his friends  with his profits.. but the site decided to flag his account for exchange abuse and block him from tipping. Then we had people trying to challenge this decision on this site and we had a moderator mocking a user for their attempt to speak English and threaten people with a report to the administrator... and this probably why I don't play there much anymore.

For me, if a site has a crappy community ... I won't play there much maybe...  I'm gonna deposit, roll and ditch out with a withdraw... but if they have a good community... there a slightly good chance I might roll there a little bit longer and not withdraw "yet" =)

The community can definitely make a huge difference irrespective of where you go. Referring to your case here, having people treating you like dirt is abominable and not a place where people would be staying.

It's unfair that the site had to block a user for doing whatever the fuck he wanted with his monies. How much money on his account was locked up? Either way, signing up petitions isn't going to make a big difference. If a lot of players on that website feel the same about the situation, they should discontinue playing there. As easy as it sounds and not like there aren't better options around.

Of course it is true that to be a bit far from gambling sites with bad communities and unsatisfactory services because it will endanger yourself, there are some gambling sites that are most intent on building it plus a good community that supports services which is certainly a site that most people want, profits increase traffic and some prizes that may be bigger, no gambling sites are perfect, everything is good and bad, but at least there are better than others, everything depends on each other's comfort.

Fast customer support and a large playerbase is what keeps me playing at an online casino.  I want to stick with a trusted casino that many players use.  Some casinos have abysmal customer support while others are very quick and can help you with any problem.  I don't really go to real life casinos anymore, I do everything online so this criteria is very important to me.

Yea, I think the community interaction just makes things so much more interesting for me. People are social animals and you

need some social interaction or you will go crazy. I also like the tipping feature, because you want to be a bit

generous if you win something big. I used to by a round of drinks, when I won a Jackpot in a brick and mortar casino and a

tipping service gives me that pleasure in online gambling sites.  Grin

I am really surprised to read the way Bitsler staff managed their members, mocking someone for not knowing English and handing out a ban for tipping is completely unethical on their part. I'll never play on such a casino where they have no respect for their members. Also did you contact them here? What was their response?

I always believe that when you're gambling online, the community becomes your second home, and then casinos I visit all I see are people encouraging each other, support staff always there to help, and that's how you enjoy spending time there. In my case a good and helpful community, with good support staff is mandatory for me to continue playing on the site.

online casinos community is important for the other gambler in the gambling site because, with the support from the community, the owner can give attention to always manage the site to be better than before. the owner can talk with their member and the member can give suggestion to make better gambling site. within the community, the owner can know what needs to be fixed and what things that need to manage so the member will satisfy to play on that gambling site.

There is no way to undermine the importance of community in any platform even in business world the moment you can form a community around your business, that is the beginning of having loyal customers. You see a car wash business having a relaxation not that they lose focus of their primary business but because they have to ensure to keep them coming. Even exchange sites with chat options get to see more patronage than their counterpart that does not have such feature.

While is wrong for a moderator to mock a user because of his inability to speak good English knowing fully well that they enjoy patronage from citizens who are not native English speakers. It also does not give room for users to abuse the terms and conditions of the site. Just like this case, there are several details in those tiny terms and conditions that gives almost absolute powers to the site. The moment you flout anyone or interpreted to have flout one, they will take action and there is nothing that can be done.

clearly a good community is able to reflect that the site can be managed properly and not managed carelessly by people involved in it.
In addition, we can communicate with many people to be able to share experiences with each other and can be a lesson for the future from the experience that has been given by many people who have gambled in the online casino

Having a good and large community, responsive support etc. are a sign of a good foundation. So yes it's important that a certain gambling site does have this. We are talking about "money" here so it's really part of the criteria of choosing a crypto gambling site.

It seems like Telegram is much more popular with our crypto crowd, but most of the big casino and sportsbooks haven't made huge inroads there yet.

If 100 people sign that petition I don't think the admins from Bitsler will change their mind.

Gambling communities are nice, you can discuss with different people that shares the same gambling interest and it encourages new people to gamble on casinos that have a good community.

We cant talk on generally but same as Wendigo its a total mess which anytime you can see up those chatboxes im even pissed when i do see beggars but those trollboxes is being put up with purpose and as a player of the site you dont have any choice its either you do socialize or totally ignore it depending in your interest.
I'm the type of user that ignores the chat because of these beggars and only talk when I need help with betting. There's still some good discussion going on from time to time but for the most part I agree with babo it's a mess.

Yeah sometimes you can stumble upon some really kind people but that's rare. Most of the time you end up with online acquaintances who are not your friends and care about you as much as any Facebook friends who have added you without knowing you one bit lol. And sooner or later your gambling buddies will start asking you for tips or coins if you have won big. I have experienced this firsthand.
I can relate to this lol. One month ago I joined a contest on yolodice and ended up winning a small part of the prize pool then some random user started sending me pms and asked for tips just because he/she knows that we are from the same country which made no sense at all.

Actually it makes perfect sense if you think about it for a minute. I have had this happen to me on Nitrogensports chatbox aka the trollbox on multiple occasions. Fellow countrymen are trying to guilt trip you into giving them a portion of the winnings just because you are from the same country hence being 'close online buddies'. Some chat dwellers squat in the chat all day long keeping tabs on winners bragging about their winnings and then beg for some coins. It's basically the same as in real world casinos where you have desperate gamblers begging strangers for some spare change near the slot machines corner. It's awful.

It's the most important thing for me, that's why I've been playing on the same casino for years now.
For me, Crypto-Games has one of the best communities by far, their chat is always active at any point in time and they hold a lot of fun events.

Just the other day they had this big promotion to celebrate their 4 year anniversary, there were games in chat all day long.
The best thing is, whenever they do giveaways, there are absolutely no rollover requirements.

I've cashed out so many times from their promotions, that's something that you don't see in other casinos usually.

I think online casinos community is good for every gambler to join because in that community, we can share each gambler experience and we can also learn from their experience. maybe we can also share a strategy that might works for us when we play some games and besides that, we can talk with other people about everything. this can help us to learn more about the gambling games and we can get a new experience in gambling games and the best is we can get a new friend from other places.

I generally shy away from casinos and sportsbooks that have forums and/or a trollbox, because it's usually a waste of time trying to socialize with other bettors online. The chats are a big mess, there are lots of spammers and beggars, power-tripping mods acting all high and mighty etc. If I needed some company I would go out with friends or something. I don't want to listen to the chatter of some addicted gamblers online as it has been the case at almost all cryptobooks with chatboxes. Nitrogensports and Primedice are the worst in that regard.

In the most cases is a mess
You are right, but in my experience some time i talk with kindly guys and i socialize with them

If no chat/forum present, yes you avoid mess, but you deny the possibility to socialize spare time

Community is a quite important, the idea of gambling is to have fun and with good community you can have fun and have  agreat time chatting while playing, it will be the fantastic way to pass the time, community also make you having more friends and able to learn few more things about gambling, gambling with a good at atmosphere will fix your mood

And for the bitsler petition, it will be great if any representative from bitsler could give an explanation, usually they won't randomly blocking, and we can have a better understanding of the situation by listening to the both side of the story

I do believe that bitsler already made the right decision regarding the situation. They have proofs or at least already gave a warning before blocking someone's account. AFAIK, the way people try to abuse the system has been changed and for sure bitsler needs to update the policies from time to time.

Communities for online casinos are important for me, but not as much as the actual gambling experience itself and other things like support speed, etc- communities come second for me.

Community is importat for every online game
my experience said this

for example Riot spent much money and time for help community to grow healtly
spent time and money for eradicate trolls and cheaters because is important for community

and community of league of legends is fantastic, all live event is full Smiley of fans

Some gambling communities are actually pretty interesting, and I enjoy reading and talking on them. For example, Fortunejack has a discord channel where you can talk about more than just gambling, but investments in altcoins, mining, trading, and even memes. I like going to such places in my free time, just like how I browse Reddit and this forum.

Definitely online casino communities are important. Many casinos are conducting big promotions to develop and grow their community. As a member of a growing community i really like being there, made some friends and learnt lot of things.
I don't know what really happened on Bitsler. If it is true that moderator mocking players, that's unacceptable. This is the first time I hear about "Exchange abuse". He risks his own money when a user exchanging his coins with another user, how could it be an exchange abuse?

@panjul07 Thanks very much for the feedback! It's true that a good support service is the foundation for a strong and active community, and I agree that our support can definitely do better in some situations. We should have some big news to share over the next month or two in this regard. What I can say now is that you should see a marked improvement in all our support channels across the board soon.

I like your point about adding different channels too - I was worried that introducing more platforms would fragment our community into even smaller groups. I've been discussing plans for a site-wide live chat with our dev teams so it's definitely something we will be looking in to for the future.

Come to think of it, I guess it would be a good feature of online casinos that require ID anyway to send some very expensive beverage and/or food to those who lost, say, over one bitcoin. It would not really cost much for them, but might cheer up unfortunate people a great deal.

@kryptqnick This is a nice idea. We do offer some cashback for players who have tilted hard, and we have team members in place to contact them directly if we are worried.

Do many people here use Twitter to follow crypto news and gambling sites? It seems like Telegram is much more popular with our crypto crowd, but most of the big casino and sportsbooks haven't made huge inroads there yet.

IDK about Bitsler situation , maybe there was actually an abuse with the exchange like maybe getting higher exchange rate , but can't give a word since I don't know the full situation

in general the coolest thing about gambling is the commuinty , most of my online friends are people who I met in gambling sites or here in the gambling section and I have trusted them with thousands of euros without even getting a one disappointment
community can help a lot , especially when it comes to games where you can make money like sportsbetting and poker
i have a lot of conversations with the people I know regarding sportsbetting and we always share knowledge and good services

Awful service, what kind of moderator can mock his website clients, that's not only unethical, that's even from pragmatical point of view very stupid thing to do. You're absolutely right about the community, if website holders only look at their users as scissor-bills how can anyone know that they won't scam them all someday, or will take a good care of website security? Not even talking about providing some help, like email or password recover, withdrawal procedure, etc. And why do they care about tipping, how's that against the rules? It's kind of a regular thing I encounter frequently in gambling websites' chats, e.g. Primedice. Maybe YOU should report to administrator about all this situation with moderator?

Having an online communtiy is an integral part of a legal and transparent business. That is very important for the businesses related to gambling and money making. That gives correct idea about the operational integrity of any business based on the public review.

However,  not all online communities are trusted as admin can create fake accounts to maintain a positive outlook of the business. That is why I trust communities like bitcointalk more than the company's own community. Here people can provide unbiased experiences about any particular website or business. Being a third party provided community provides more clarity on situations becasue the gambling website owner usually doesn't have any control over the comments.

A good community is necessary for people to have a good time while playing. It's like going to school and you need friends so you can enjoy your time while being in there.
I quite enjoy seeing people on chatboxes fooling around while playing.

I haven't played in bitsler lately but I did before. I'm not much of a talking person when I gamble so I do not have any idea what kind of community bitsler have in their chatbox. Are you sure that your friend didn't violate any rules on bitsler? If it's just tipping then I'm sure flagging an account is unnecessary. If that's the case then the bitsler team need some explaining to do.

Then we had people trying to challenge this decision on this site and we had a moderator mocking a user for their attempt to speak English and threaten people with a report to the administrator... and this probably why I don't play there much anymore.

Maybe you offended their moderators and your "people" started an unnecessary misunderstanding? People tends to make bad judgement when provoked. I am not saying that what they did is not wrong but maybe your peope played a part in escalating the situation?

Is this really necessary tho?

If that Sully doesnt violate any terms or rules of Bitsler then its quite odd for them to make such decisions on blocking him into tipping other players. I would wait up for some explanation from the team of Bitsler regarding on this matter rather than putting up any conclusions. Issues can really be faced even you are playing on the most popular gambling site with great community and this is really inevitable but all things can be settled and theres no need to rage out.

A lot of people start gambling, because of having problems in their real lives. Feeling lonely, they seek company of people who are going to understand them instead of pulling them out of society even more. Land-based casinos are attractive, because you can be offered champagne and be comforted by others if you lose a lot. As online casino cannot possibly do the same thing, life chat is a nice alternative. At least one can talk with people this way. I'm currently trying to improve our Cloudbet community and social media offering and any feedback or suggestions are very much appreciated.

I've seen quite a few competitors promoting Discord and Telegram channels recently, is this kind of live community chat something crypto gamblers want going forward?

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Before you are going to improve your community, better to improve your support services first. It would be useless to have a big community if there is something not really good inside the site. I suggest it based on what I read on then last withdrawal problem of your player which takes too long respond from your support. Active live chat or maybe chatroom for players is more than enough as a place for your players to interact with other players.
Once you have better support services then you can go to improve your community. Expand it as much as you wish, but I think one place is enough. No need to create discord channel, telegram channel, or many places for the community. One most effective place for the community is a forum IMO.

When a company or user decide.to improve, he can improve many stuffs in same time, in parallels

This is something I'd be really interested in!  Grin

I'm currently trying to improve our Cloudbet community and social media offering and any feedback or suggestions are very much appreciated.

I've seen quite a few competitors promoting Discord and Telegram channels recently, is this kind of live community chat something crypto gamblers want going forward?

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

this is a good starting point
because the main goal of player is have a fun, not earn money Smiley

and if he can talk, play, interact with others the % of fun increase

Apparently, Bitsler wants to take that goal away from its user base "to have fun and be social..  but they said nope.. they started to mute players for sharing their telegram IDs..  Site was good when I first joined then they went in a vicious downhill spiral and starting to be like a Soup Nazi.

[ Good example soon ]
- Talking trash about moderators off-net, for an example if I say Fairbee is a scumbag for mocking a user on how they tried to speak "type" english.. there is a good chance I will get muted for a week or a few months or forever.   "I'm feeling froggy and I'm jumping"
