I don't agree with this, just because they use the darknet (TOR) means that they are bad people.
OK, you could argue that buying something from a darknetmarket is illegal, but I'm sure that there are also people using it for legitimate uses.

Maybe for buying prescription meds that they cannot afford otherwise, I've read some stories about this, not sure if they were true.
Or even medical cannabis for people who really need it, but can't source it through other means.
I personally don't think that someone suffering from Parkinsons should be blamed for trying to buy something to give him relief from all the symptoms, even if it is illegal.

Dealing over darknet is always riskier as it is very lucrative way for hackers as well as ponzi runners to run away easily after stealing bitcoin without revealing their idendity. I was quite suprised how this guy got arrested as tracking bitcoin transaction is completely impossible if the hacker himself doesn't make foolish moves. And as remembering darknet url address is quite hard so that it may be easier for him to just clone the site login page and the one who put login details doesn't care about the URL address they are viewing and consider them as real.

That's right, the vague of the regulating about it can made the police are not wanna for processing the cases of bitcoin, and i think a lot of people are can't do anything if got a scam or another criminal with bticoin.

they will auction it and that is how it works,do you know how they auction these coins,is it possible for anyone to participate in these auctions,it looks like scammers are hackers will be dealt with in near future since FBI has taken over the investigation of bitfinex hack i expect they could find the culprit

people do get scammed in dark web ,i do feel sorry for the victims as there are scums like these who prey on anything to make some quick money

I find it interesting that people that understand bitcoin can also have a unfavourable thinking on the darknet setup.
They both achieve a similar goal and to put ones nose up is to not fully grasp what bitcoin is able to achieve outside the limits.

The lines often blur when you having any vigilante activity and money is involved.

Don't know how they can say that there are no "clear evidence of guilt" if they found 10k credencials on his PC, and there is a clear link between his wallet and those accounts, and
his own bank account on the end line..

I think that people in the dark net, knows better the security measures needed there to make their identity safe. There are a lot of websites which shows us how to be safe when using TOR browser. I have personally talk with a few friends in the police and they have said to me , they cannot crush TOR or find any user which has taken the appropriate steps for securing their identity. They were successful a few times with people that really didn't know what they were doing and police just interrogated them.

It takes too much time for me to write the security tips but am leaving a website here for anyone to check.

Honestly in online many people are giving phishing site just like few hours ago when i was playing league of legends some sending me a link to put all my real identity and password. but i know those site so i never put any in that site for my safety.
