This is just a tip of the iceberg. Just go on telegram and join a few public groups, and before you know it, you'll be having people DM you with all kind of shit.
First rule of crypto, and online communicators in general; Assume everything is a scam until proven otherwise

The telegram scam started a long time  ago and if you are not careful if not that you have enough knowledge on crypto they will always want to take advantage of you which is very common because I always get a lot of attention when ever I go to my telegram amd I don't even respond because I know that there is no good coming from what ever they will want to offer I wonder how people still fall victim for all this things that are not real and people are always fallen for there lies but one thing I love is that no matter how they do it they will eventually learn the hard way, them they will not want to take chances next time because the way some people behave as if they don't care untill they get scammed that is when they start taking there resources seriously, and they have things to show, but all are fake.

There are still various scams that you still have not mentioned, but still, that shouldn’t be the main force if we will really talk about the solution from being a victim of a scam.

One thing people need to know is that when they are talking about scams, it is a business to the scammers, and they also have their own target population, which is the vulnerable and greedy people, which is the first chain to break if we are really ready to see an end to being a victim of all the scams. One of the reasons why I said the scammers always go for the vulnerable people and the greedy ones is because the vulnerable people are always curious to find a solution, which means they are weak, and that is what the scammers wanted so that they could penetrate you with a helping hand or even a saviour, which in the process, after gaining your trust, they will scam you and leave. While for the greedy ones, we all know they fall victim to being greedy and selfish.

So educating people, especially the vulnerable ones, will be one of the easiest ways to break the chain of scamming. For instance, in the forum, most of the people that fall in the vulnerable group are the newbies, most of whom are even new to Bitcoin entirely, and we all know they have a lot to cover in crypto, so they will like to meet up and start making profits, which in that process, if they encounter a scammer, they will definitely be victims because they have no knowledge about the activities of Bitcoin.

All these kinds of scam has been in existence for long time, the thing is that most of us that fall victim what causes it is greediness, how can you invest in the platform you don't know the founder, and how unknown person message you of investment and you believe on the person, online scam is giving birth to other once every day, what we are suppose to do is to be careful of ourselves and know that many is using Internet fraud to sustain their life

So we shouldn't be a victim, because of over curiosity to make money a quick money, ponzi scheme is another kind of scam that is another intelligent kind of scam, so we don't need to venture into investment site without making at least a proper research of the site, so lack of research makes us to concur to investment platform that makes them to scam us.

Snipped

All these are the very common methods used by them, but be also informed now that they have advanced in their own tactics as well as methods used, because these have been already known by most people, but instead they keep using new methods and strategies now to deceive on holders and mostly the newbies who might not have gotten enough exposure with the market and other crypto networks, scammers do target the wallets, phishing links, sites and so on to use some flashy updates to lie and set traps at some strategic positions we may not be able to escape.

6. Love Scam: scammers develop online relationships and romance and then request payments for fake emergencies such as sickness, accident, gun shot and many other things.

This is new but similar to scams that I have heard of. I remember a lady from a country in the Middle East got tricked into a scam by forming a friendship bond over three months or so. The scammer started chatting with the victim casually, talking about normal things that friends talk about, and they eventually got very close as friends. The victim didn't even realize what was happening until the game was finally played.

After a few months of staying in regular contact and gossiping like best friends, the scammer played the trick by telling the lady about a very lucrative investment opportunity that he had found, which, according to him, could bring good profit to her. He was already aware that the lady had some savings, maybe around $700k or something, so he convinced her to invest with this exchange or the platform he suggested. The lady thought he is a friend and is giving a good suggestion, so she fell for it.

The scammer ran away with $700k or something of the lady's life savings. She was a single mother and worked really hard to accumulate that sum. I felt extremely sad after reading her story.

The point is, people you find online can't be your friends, even if they act like they care about you, the reality is usually different.

Just as the user above had said, these things are no longer new, especially to those of us on this forum, as they've been several threads created just to lay emphasis on this issue, so even if some users didn't see this particular thread, then they must have come across it sometime before now. That aside. Scams like these still exist and people still fall for them till today.

Ignorance like the user above had said, and greed, are part of what makes some people fall victim to such scams.
There are certain things that just sounds too good to be true, especially when it comes to impersonation. How in the world will Elon musk or other popular figure ask you for 10usdt.
There are some scams that don't even make any sense, but greed and ignorance has eaten so many people that wants to make a fortune overnight.

This is not a new thing anymore. Anyone who still fall for scams is ignorant to topics like this. Apart from investing in the wrong asset that was a rug pool  i don't think any crypto enthusiast should for cheap random scam online. The awareness is much so i believe that everyone should know this by now.

Read How do you avoid scammers?. This thread is similar to the OP.

Online scam is becoming more popular everyday, people are being scammed of there money and crypto coin, there are different types of online scam and is good we know them so we can be at alert always.

1. Investment scamming: a scammer will tell someone that there's an investment available which there's little or no risk involved and one will get his return in Bitcoin, they make it real and some set of people who always love quick success accept and they get scammed, they may also introduce to you fraudulent mining operations so let's be careful.

2. Phishing Scam: Fraudulent exchange or wallet mimic legitimate cryptocurrency exchanges or wallets to steal users' private keys or login details, I know some set of people may have fallen victim for this one needs to check well before accepting any message or link.

3. Ponzi schemes scam: In a Ponzi scheme they will tell you to start an investment with them and you will be paid weekly or monthly, they use early inventors money to pay the other investors and before the new investors date of payment will be due they have made a lot of money and they will vanish.

4. Impersonation Scam: Scammers pose as celebrities, influencers, or companies offering money giveaways, victims are asked to send money with the promise of receiving more money in return, which never happens, a friend of mine has fallen victim to this, someone impersonated Elon musk and told him his doing a giveaway he did a fake video call with my friend and told him to first of all send money to a particular account using Bitcoin and his going to send him 10 time's the money his sent.

6. Love Scam: scammers develop online relationships and romance and then request payments for fake emergencies such as sickness, accident, gun shot and many other things.

7. Airdrop scam: those of you that are doing airdrops be very careful don't connect those airdrop to the wallet you are using to accumulate Bitcoin because if you do you have given them access to your wallet and they can withdraw your Bitcoin.

Stay safe
