Just so you know Thermalright Odyssey are hard pads I don't like using them, the best thermal pad for 3080s is Gelid GP Extreme, they are gummy like and soft, you can see another decrease of an extra ~10°C from that 80°C you are getting.

Hello, I replaced the thermal pads now with 3.0 mm Thermalright Odyssey pads and memory temp went down from over 110C to 84C.

But the problem is, that now the other (first) temp is up 88C in about 5 seconds after starting t-rex miner. What is the problem now? I also replaced the thermal paste directly on the chip, like shown in that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8KKYtiuu0I

Make sure you are using the proper sized thermal pads.  Its usually 1mm-2mm for the front and 2-3mm for the back.  If you use ones that are too big they will prevent the heatsink from making contact with the GPU to cool it properly.

Yes, this could be the problem.  Also make sure none of your pads moved or folded when you were putting it back together.  Your new temps are more concerning than your old temps to be honest.  I would definitely crack it back open and have another look.  As others have mentioned, your over/underclock settings have a lot to do with power usage and hashrate.  I'd advise you to do some googling and read what settings other people are using to get their hashrate.  You may find that you're able to increase your hashrate and decrease temps/power usage by fiddling with some adjustments on your settings.  Hope that helps.  Good luck!

Hello,

I bought a MSI RTX 3080 Ventus 3x 10G OC "non-LHR" but I do get only around 80 MH/s when mining ETH with latest t-rex miner. Do you understand why? I thought it should be around 95 - 100 MH/s.

Power limit is too low and memtemps too high.

Fix the thermal pads problem... 110ºC, don't do that to your card.

The 90 Mhsh should be easy achievable with such non LHR card.Although MSI is not the best as I have seen this in my MSI Rtx 3060 ti and Rtx 2060 12 GB which I own and they perform 2 Mhsh less than other brands with perfect overclock settings,80 Mhsh for your card is low.

A couple of other persons here have had problems in the past with Gddr6x memory which is way high at 110 degree Celsius, you should immediately change the thermal pads and your temperature should not exceed 100 degrees as a maximum target, that throttle the card and your hash rate, once you do this most probably you will get that 85-90 Mhsh you want easily.

As a newbie to crypto mining it can be hard to set the perfect oc settings for your 3080 gpu using Msi Afterburner this is why hiveOS is the best for mining, you can easily copy others OC settings and apply to users inside hiveOS, 110°C is way too high and that's what keeping your GPU from achieving the highest hashrate possible.

try setting Memory Clock : in the range +1000 +1200.
But first you need to solve the throttling problem. The memory temperature is 110 degrees after 9 minutes, this indicates a very poor cooling system or poor-quality thermal pads.
If you want a stable hash rate, then you will most likely need to change thermal pads. Red Panda Mining has good videos on this.
