You know that fake MT Gox email with a download, that we should delete...

I zipped up some nasty images (war/executions/suicide/be-headings, etc) and mailed it to the hacker, via that email...

It seems that when you reply, it goes to the real MT Gox... that is if the response I got is really from the MT Gox people...

response from Mark Karpeles:

what would be the point for something like that?
even if it got to the "right" hands what purpose would it serve? revenge? aaargggghhh take this picture ...
as bcpokey wrote its 'easy' to fake all of the email headers.
lets face it. sh*t happened. lets move on.
*cheers*

Well most people that read MtGoxs site know its not a real email, so probably wouldn't reply. A reply-to is easy to fake and obviously wouldn't point to the hackers real email address. The people that don't read MtGox wouldn't read that it goes to them either.

Hi,

Unfortunately your reply is not reaching the hacker, but the Mt.Gox staff.

Mark

I was surprised when I saw that someone had responded to the email. First time that has ever happened. If that is the real MT Gox staff, then perhaps they should say on their site, not to reply to the email as it goes to them.
