Hey bobsag3...  at what point are we sending you money?  Initially we were supposed to send you a deposit, and pay you mid January.  Deposit seems to have been waived, and mid January has come and gone.  I believe group 1 chips are still scheduled for may-ish.  I want to make sure I have my BTC purchased ahead of time.

Configuration will depend on their performance, but I had plans to put together a system using them.  Waiting for more info in general; a lot of other chips are active right now.

When Jan comes, my BTC is ready so all I need now is to find who is going to go for a multi chip board? Seems it would be a bit too expensive to do single chip boards... not liking the idea of shelling out a possible $2K for boards  just to get 8 chips mining... on top of chip cost.

Ah, ok.  You had mentioned a 20% down in the OP, so many of us were still waiting to pay to reserve our spot.

edit:  will there be any sample chips for design verification, or are we blind until this first production run?  no worries eitehr way; just want to adjust timelines, and design the first board accordingly.

Couple of questions:

Bobsag3: are you collecting down payments yet? Your e-mail confirmation to me didn't include any information on how to do that.

Also, has anyone seen a datasheet with pin-outs? I have some time over the next few weeks that I'd like to use to layout a board for this chip.

If someone were to guess... how much would a board and mounting cost for a chip? 250 dollars? I am trying to cost compare buying a X-1 vs a raw chip and then having it mounted into something.

Purchase the x1's from www.minersource.net if you don't want to purchase in a quantity of 10 from BA.

I might want to order one... any idea on the ETA of the first boards?

Oh and I was wondering if the prospero x-1 is aimed at consumers why can I only order 10?

I encountered the same thing. Also, if we order just the ASIC for now, but later decide to use the board assembly service, how will that be handled.

Would be good if there's US based team vouching that they are doing it atm.

Not yet that I'm aware of, but there are a number of teams working on them at the moment.  Some of these chips will likely go towards vetting their designs.

I am Black Arrow's US based reseller, and am happy to provide this service to the community.
I have reserved and paid for the first 300 available bare chips, and have the ability to purchase as many as required/wanted.

Pricing
I will be offering the limited batch of 300 at the $199 Nominal Price/chip [Will be adjusted to match BA pricing] + 5% Handling Fee, and shipping to wherever you need it (UPS Express/Express International Included). Additional chips for production orders and or group buys can be arranged through me as well.

Shipping
I will be receiving these chips at the soonest possible date IE as soon as they are available to Black Arrow, + 2 days shipping from them to me.
The current Ship Date is Feb 24th.

Availability
I have 300 chips available immediately, with the ability to order more at any time. Chips will be distributed in the order of the down payment being received.

Chips will be available for as long as possible, plenty of notification will be given when amounts are running low.

How to order
Since the number of potential buyers is limited, the orders will be processed manually as follows:

2)I will send you payment instructions for a 20% Down payment, refundable up till Jan 15th, or If I fail to deliver
