Considering abrkn's current gambling site luckco.in ran out of BTC and he ignores all user communications, I'd be wary of trusting any BTC with him.

I don't think you should be. I think he has a few balls in the air and the casino is probably not bringing huge revenue to put it high on the list. Not to make excuses for the man. Just sayin..

How about adding some sort of playmoney balance?
Otherwise its a bit pointless even with no real money at stake.

When the game is over, the players receive the secret and use it to shuffle a deck using the same inputs on the client, which is used to verify that cards were dealt correctly

Fantastic approach.  Kudos!

a couple of thing i noticed while playing around,
you need you uncheck the checkbox otherwise the cards will be put automatically for you, this took me a while
to figure out.
also you get stuck, unable to place a card if the last card you are dealt will result in a foul... maybe

The unable to place a card issue is known, I just need to find the bug. It does not relate to whether or not your hand will foul.

is collusion posible in this game?
from what i have read i dont think so and if you combine that along with probably fair shuffling then you get a most fair form of poker, an exciting tought in my opinion.

It's a 2,3 or 4 player game. Which makes collusion difficult especially 2 handed Smiley

Even so, if you manage to get access to the capital markets you should be fine.

What?
Like offering an IPO to get the funds needed to cover the variance.

Bingo. MP sez "give the man a prize" so...post your addy get a prize.

Curious when you started telling people to start an IPO? Pure advertisement for your site? I thought everyone had to be twelve years established in the community and have a WOT rating of a million?  I am not knocking the change don't get me wrong. Just curious about the doctrine change or pure sarcasm?

This OP idea has very good merit at this time and if the money could be put into it I think it has a chance of being profitable.

What's the biggest possible loss with four players? Lose six points to each player plus royalties. The royalties can be enormous, imagine a straight flush in the bottom, flush in the middle and aces on top.

Even so, if you manage to get access to the capital markets you should be fine.

I would love to make an OFC bitcoin game.

I own "faceupchinese.com" and "faceupchinesepoker.com" if anyon1 wants to take a run at it...

also know a sick Android dev that just did the SealsWithClubs Android app (super stable, absolutely awesome, free download) that could likely fire out the android version for a piece...

Translation: "I don't personally see any value in it, but feel free to pay my dude to build one..."

I think that's kinda what I was saying only, Micon's got the foresight to buy the fuckin domain before responding. Lol.

bought the domain months ago, and I was thinking to partner with a coder and run / design the entire thing.  SwC is a very demanding right now so would need a separate team for a new project.

I see much value in it's creation, especially if you can make it work very clean and easy and on mobiles.

Minimum sitting balance isn't a big deal, our system's automated for that. But (don't know if you know this) we're completely Flash based so there's no mobile option for any of our games, probably won't be unless we're making enough that I don't have to write the code for them myself.

One other thing with Chinese Poker is that it needs an even number of players, and that's tough for an online casino to implement. You'd have to make the 3rd player wait for the 4th, and disconnect one from the game if the 4th dropped out. Most systems just don't work that way, and it might be a reason it's not implemented anywhere.

No one I know of offers it, but it's an interesting idea. One thing about that game is that it operates like Gin Rummy or a tournament-style game rather than each hand being set individually. Any site that supports it then has to have a tournament-of-smaller-tournaments if it wants to run a leaderboard and a larger prize. I think this could be great in the Eastern European market. Sapphire isn't yet geared toward doing these types of games beyond a single table, but it's something I'd consider. I've been thinking about introducing Pai Gow and Gin Rummy as well. Trouble with complex Asian poker games is that the rules are extremely hard to code because of the way hand evals are done and the betting rules. The owner of a huge (non-Bitcoin) casino software company once told me that after writing all the other games, coding Pai Gow was the worst two weeks of his life. And this guy has been writing Assembly code since the early '80s. So I think what you'll see is that if there's a provable market in mainstream online casinos for it, the Bitcoin casinos will follow, but as it is our margins and bankroll to spend on coding new games are much slimmer. That said, maybe after reading this Seals will beat me to the punch.

Does any Bitcoin site currently offer Open Face Chinese Poker (OFC)?

If not, is there any interest in the community for it?
