At 40nm node size? Big whoop. Hopelessly outdated and useless except as a training exercise. More to the point is that a driver is tied directly to the specific chip used. Ya can't just plug in a different chip and think it will work.

Yeah this is more or less wasted time, 40nm is more than just recently outdated and anyone wanting to mess with Asics have such massive barrier of entry this isn't going to do much.
