Bitcoin programmers expecting to get rich on their work will be disappointed. Eventually yes, when big business hires them, they have business saavy themselves, or a partner. For now, they will have to settle for simply being first and the honor that bestows.
Release the code, get voluntary contributions and then get 100k hits.

It's not a "wannabe exchange." I am release the code for it. And there should be an idea of what the code they will be downloading is like.
You do realize that if the code looks good and people use it, they may be willing to send you a few coins. So, when do you now plan on releasing the code?

Before the code is released I wanted to see the level of traffic on Trade-Btc.com reach a certain level. So once it releases 100k hits, or 10000 users the code will be released. This is mainly being done to have a certain level of hype around the release, because this will finally allow anyone with a small amount of coding experience to be able to run their own fully functional exchange.

100k hits is far more likely considering 10k users would make you bigger than Tradehill
haha, will probably end up open sourcing earlier, just want to get some hype and some traffic to the site so people know about it.
