Thanks you for your time for that reply.
In depth, very knowledgeable, has given me a few things to think about.

And to answer you are definitely correct, if I wasn't trying to make my own quick buck then I wouldn't have any of those shitcoins to begin with, I totally agree, i have gotten caught up in the hype myself, there is no doubt.

I guess really my issue is that I am a little disappointed that the shitcoin hype even exists for the strict copy and pastes.
Wish I could give you a little more but to be honest that response of yours basically covers everything that can be said.

Off to study more about crypto's Wink

Shhhh.  Us miners need our ROI.

"... All these devs are pulling awsome schemes to try and get rich quick. The shitty part is that it is working..."

"...For one person to get rich quick, an entire community of people is getting devalued..."

So why even bother to support these obvious Pump & Dumps ?

Maybe because your greed is getting the best of you too?

As for a good name, better yet a great name for a currency? Well dangcoin just sounds stupid, likely wont sell. But a greatcoin with a great name at least means the developer really is creative and at least smart enough to know that to successfully market a coin it's name better have a pleasant and even appealing thought attached to it.

I was one that pleaded with developers to at least come up with great names a while back, and to be innovative too, to make Masterpieces that would be slamdunkcoins, all to no avail, or at least almost to no avail.

The current phase starting here and now is getting the better coin types to market, like bitcoin already is. In other words Marketing the currencies is the new phase right here and now, and most will get left in the dust and soon enough each fade out into their own bitter, slow endings. And nothing cripples a coins chances more so than a poorcoin name. Don't underestimate that. An okay name is doable. But a poor name is likely detrimental. At least I wont go anywhere near one with a poor name myself.

MARKETING will determine the Winners. Maybe a dozen or two dozen types of coins, out of hundreds, or even thousands since pumpcoin and dumpcoin is rolling out as I type (just kiddingcoin). But obiously there is so much noisecoin an staticcoin why even bother with anything now besides the bestcoins?

FYI: I just dumped a large, very large, nearly 3 dozen, of the best types of coins. And cut the herd way down to half that size, but with the vast majority in just the King. Because if what's about to happen again really happens again it will be another round of Shock & Awe for all but the Best of Breed coins, and even they are apt to get slammed hard again, but only to come catching back up mostly with the King. Much like silver always plays second fiddle to gold in the precious medals marketplace.

But yes, we get your points.

And by all means DON'T SUPPORT these pumpcoins and these dumpcoins. Or your effectively doing others (the fools rushing in these last several weeks) harm as well. Sure we all get temptation. Sure I even took the bait a few times when it was easy pickings for a quick buck. But almost always I resist the temptation. I almost never mined and then sold. Only once in fact. Just recently. But as soon as the charts told me it was over I was done with that dog, lol. I go by a coins fundamentals, and it's technicals (chart performace), just like in the stock market. Or the Forex. Same thing here. Learn to read candlestick charts. It's easy enough to grasp the basics in one long evening.

So:

Starting RIGHT HERE, Right Now: things just changed, again! Drastically. This is suddenly another new phase, the fifth phase in the last 12 months alone. I wont spell it all out.

At this point in time I strongly believe it would be extremely wise and prudent to select the highest quality coins to mine versus the ones with the best instant mining reward level, versus the ones with the best chance to make it all the way to market, or at the least have strong chances to have strong gains for at least 6 months, so you too can profit greatly, and have time to slip out of the lesser issues that end up being unloved, and uncared for currencies.

And remember, the developer alone can't do it all. Every coin needs a strong community. It's also a given the we must support and help the coins we chose to hold, one way or another. Otherwise this entire affair is again just going to harm others for the sake of what? Someone else's gain.

So instead of focusing on all these cutcoins pastecoins copycoins catcoins now rolling out just to mine a ton of shitcoin for mere peanuts perhaps it would be wiser just to ignore the noise from here out.

Or, in other words, from here out I don't give any time to any coin that first doesn't come to the table with a good name, and also most importantly offers something nothing else yet does, something better, or special, unique, that gives it a real good chance. And much better be a true Masterpiece. It's just too late in this Crypto Monetary Revolution for ever more copy cat coins. That phase is now being obliverated by fools rushing one copycoin after another copycoin. Forgetaboutthem. Their all doomed if that is all they have to offer. Every last one of them. If their not here already http://coinmarketcap.com/  , or at least haven't already been long since created and doing well by now then odds are their not going to make it at all, unless their cutting a new path, or a real masterpiece.

The rest of them are going the way of ratcoin. Down the draincoin. And taking many foolscoin with them, sadly.

That hash power is being wasted on tiny gains, where as if one focuses on first learning about the coins, the best ones, what they each offer, what sets them apart, what is what, what's different, and how each can fit into the marketplace well after all that research and study, only then will anyone be making anywhere near a prudent choice. Till then use the KISS method. Keep it simple stupid. Or in other words stick to the highest quality until you can determine yourself what are the best and better alt. coins. And don't forget about Kingcoin *Bitcoin*. It's the King, it's going up even when everything else is getting hammered, all over again, just as soon as the next super surge strikes it again. So there. That's from someone that took about 18 months of study, research, and much effort, to learn this, all from scratch. And took the time to offer what I think would guide you well.   As of the last three days I sold most of everything off for Bitcoin, and all of at least half my holdings, for the King, except for the above types, and precious few others that I couldn't bring myself to depart with since they too are likely grand slams in the longer term and are still performing strongly as I speak. The half I sold off completely? Well I wont be rebuying many of them, only a few. The rest were purged.

I even sold some extremely large longer term gains from some of the above the last three days, but will rebuy them later at hopefully a much better price as soon as the dust settles at whatever point in the next few weeks that alt coins rebalance with BTC *hint*. At least that's my thinking. I may be wrong, but I believe that the Bitcoin-Rocket is about to shift into Afterburner mode at any moment between now and the next four weeks and that the wake from the Strong BTC Price Surge will cause all the other alts, or at least almost all of them to again severely correct in price since BTC will be suddenly worth so much more, and as many flee again to ride the BitcoinExpress.

BTC - Next stop = $2000, or $3000, or even higher, maybe to $4500 to $6000. Real fast. And will leave most if not all Alt. coins in ruins for a spell, just like in late October through Mid November, as many flock to safety on the BitcoinExpress. Only this time many others will realize to jump aboard after what they remember from just a couple of months ago!

Lastly, the next trading range will be anywhere from roughly $1200 to $2000 or maybe $ 1600 to $2400 or $2000 to $3400 or as wide and wild as roughly $ 2000 to $6000.

And of course I could be very wrong here. So beware. No one can know the future.

Shhhh.  Us miners need our ROI.

I understand that but do we need it 2 minutes after mining a coin?
I am a bit frazzled right now so forgive me if I come across rude in any way.

But all miners are looking for their return on investment, not just the ones dumping coins, the point of investing to me is to see a gain in the future. Hour after a coin launch is not the future it is still the present as far as im concerned. If these sellers held their coins for a couple of days until people actually know what the coin is then that return will still be there.

Don't get me wrong, it is not the miners fault. All these devs are pulling awsome schemes to try and get rich quick. The shitty part is that it is working. Currently there are at least 3 new coins that if you check the trade thread are trying to sell for nearly $1 a coin. The coin is not even on an exchange and these people pump the price so high that noone wants to buy, or those that do get screwed because their high buy order is met will millions of dump orders.

For one person to get rich quick, an entire community of people is getting devalued, sure hash rate and everything in total are rising, but duh, the devs need some equipment to mine there new coin, or premine, or instamine, or whatever. and something tells me they aren't mining with a tiny dual core CPU.

I think Bitcointalk need to establish some mandatory rules for Devs, allowing only coins with economically viable plan and innovative aspects.

YES!! WE WANT SOME FUCKING REGULATIONS IN PLACE!!!

I just don't get it.
How can people be so god damn stupid though. For instance......

As soon as people begin to get payouts from their pool, the start trying to sell in the thread.
Why the F would anyone want something that you want to get rid of as soon as it is in your hands, like are these people 6 years old, it isnt hard to understand.
AND
How the F do these people think that  coin that is a few hours old is worth dollars. Even I have begun to get rid of coins just because people are not only flooding the market, but they are flooding the market with billion dollar estimates, turning potential buyers off the coin.

I am a newbie as far as I am concerned, so why can't all these other people see this. How can you be so blind?

and yes I understand that many may be doing it since they see the market flooded, as I did, but the majority is not. That mjority has a 3 step process.

Check bitcointalk for new coin.
Mine coin for 5 hours.
Sell all coins for a bajillion dolars

This is all happening within hours :O, After enough people get completely burned by cryptos guess what? They won't be spending oney on them. And that means, yep, market crashes, everyone broke, it was a good experiement but human nature is apparently to be super wicked greedy. Love our society.

I mean nothing personally against clock coin but this line in there thread almost killed me I laughed so hard.

Basically there are dozens of new altcoins coming out every day, and each one ends up with a huge hashrate at the start maybe becuae of the block rewards or maybe because of what the dev has said about the coin, either way check this out.

So I am using clockoin as an example

"What if you need a babysitter for the kids for an hour and you could just pay her 60Clockcoins?
You're moving to a new apartment and need some movers to help you out a couple of hours, but you're out of cash? Pay their time with Clockcoins!"

Now this is the most ridiculous statment I have ever heard, but ont worry it is very similar to many other devs promoting their coin.

Issue #1 - How can someone even think this makes sense to promote their NEW coin. The oin has no value when it is new so what stupid moron is going to babysit for them, Like really, because it is called clock coin it is differrent and people will accept it?

Only answer is drugs, if any person is sold by a line like this or similar it is time to reevaluate your crypto game. Remember, any coin can be used to pay for anything, and to that point, if someone would except it you could pay your babysitter with your feces. Gross but just saying what kind of nonsense is this, either devs gotta work harder on their pump and dumps or they need the people to realize the nonsense.

This is not the first coin in the last weeks where I have seen a similar statement. Currently the new cryptos are not only copy and pastes of other coins, but they are selling themself on something EVERY SINGLE COIN CAN BE USED FOR, even FIAT btw.

Issue #2 - the crappy ANN. Have you seen some of these coin announcements, some just say this is the name of the coin these ae the specs, mine. For those of you out there mining a coin like this....

Do you see a coin going anywhere when the dev couldn't spend more than 5 minutes planning the coin?
If the dev won't put time in to an announcement, which is a first impression, then how serious can they be about the coin in the first place.

Issue #3 - Name - this is a big factor because many people will choose a coin solely on it's name. The question is, are those the people you want to be part of a community with. If name is all that matters what is stopping that person from switching to super name coin v 2.0...... nothing. Also the people that are going o get in to crypto because they heard a name they like are likely going to be the first ones to dump the coin at the slightest profit. They don't know what the coin is worth and dont care, remember they only liked the name.

With all that said I hope some devs will step up their game and show the community how to do it right (cough cough, I have no EAC but believe the way they are marketing and put some time in to the coin i a big plus)

Just my opinion, but a pretty strong one
