Amidst the pandemic yet giant strides are being achieved in all that pertains cryptocurrencies. I remembered vividly that Opera also supports crypto wallets within its broswer now this is another possibility achieved by it, which of course will attract a lot of users to its platform while also bringing more exposure to the crypto space. In addition, this proves that the crypto space can't be limited but however will keep expanding into different platforms and any platform which aren't ready to accommodate it will be left behind. Brave browser supports BAT coin and now Opera has taken a new dimension, who knows the next browser that will join them.

Maybe opera will have it Crypto wallet too They have tons of users especially mobile and they can maybe try to adopt some payment  gateway or something similar I think is a good move
Yes, you are right opera has a crypto wallet also. some information here: https://www.opera.com/crypto

Opera expands the crypto buying feature is really good news for the opera user, UK users as well as the all the cryptocurrency lover. Since the cryptocurrency is becoming familiar slowly all over the world then if the Internet browser moves forward to build these feature in their browser to make crypto more familiar and introduce to unknown will it really effective.

But we have to aware of our fund security. If they can not satisfy us with the security we should avoid them.

Sounds good. We are more closer to the mass adoption of crypto although I doubt it would be a good idea to share such confidential credential with such browser based wallet while purchasing. I don't know how will it work though. Anyway, I hope opera will ensure a secure platform.

I wonder if Brave will follow the same path as it is crypto-oriented and already has a built-in wallet and the ability to receive dividends in BAT tokens for watching ads.
I don't think Brave would do that as they originally came as a privacy browser although they later had some stupid moves last month may be.

Opera browser expands its crypto buying feature in the UK

This is a bold step ahead for Opera browser, all these developments are poised towards crypto adoption which is extremely cool. I hope soon that feature can be accessed globally, RAMP did an outstanding collaboration with opera browser on this one. We need more of such innovation.

Using a crypto wallet through browsers is something I will never do, I warned a friend about metamask wallet through Firefox browser but he never took me serious until yesterday when he called to tell me that his ethereum coins are gone, standalone wallets are the best
Totally agree with this its not secure to use any web  wallet even it is came  for known business like Mozilla or opera . even google have many issue having many application in extension so what else other app can do? even chrome know that there are many fake application  created that have malware and even google play is not safe place for downloading application.

Soon other real world projects are also going to jump in because if any serious company will left out  they will stay behind in the competirion and the businesses implenenting blockchain and crypto will thrive as everyone is now realizing that the future belongs to the crypto and it provides all sorts of solutions to the problems of the modern era.

Actually, as of June this year, they already have about 200M users. So the number of adoption may be bigger than 170k. This is quite good addition in crypto users if a lot of them will try the built-in crypto wallet. Many of them will try its usability as a lot of them want to avoid using fiat because of this pandemic.

And with regards to Brave browser, I think they will follow this move very soon because they are already have BAT integrated within their system so inclusion of crypto wallet would be easier for them as most of these brave users are already oriented with crypto.

Brave already have a native wallet since 2018, it is meta mask
https://brave.com/into-the-blockchain-brave-with-metamask/

However there is no option to use bitcoin. This is main brave failure imo.

About opera, I don't think native software is always a good idea
Forcing users to install something they don't is not something I really approve..

What an integration if Brave Browser will also expand just like Opera. They have rewards for BAT but it's another good feature if they'll be making it open for any cryptocurrencies.

Not that majority of the cryptocurrencies but, as long as it's a multi-coin wallet and there's a possibility to buy it with any third-party payment that they can tie-up with.

Opera is one browser that is integrating Crytocurrencies into their platform, even better than what brave is doing, it is the first browser to integrate crypto wallet into its platform, this is very good for the growth of the space and I think more and more browser and going to jump on this because Crypto is the next big thing

If we believe the statements of the Opera, then about 170,000 people use their built-in wallet every month, which is quite a large figure for a wallet built into a browser.
But it is a rather small figure in relation to the total number of their users, which is about 55 million.

I would like to share my thoughts about this opera inbuilt wallet, if you aren't giving your private keys or recovery seed when setting up the wallet please abstain from using, anything can happen

It feels so good to see well known companies implementing crypto in their utilities, first was Samsung, now opera and we've heard about PayPal too, things are looking lovely around crypto and blockchain technology

Opera browser expands its crypto buying feature in the UK

Web browser Opera has expanded its feature, which lets users buy cryptocurrency directly via its in-built wallet, in the U.K.

Opera has teamed up with crypto on-ramp provider Ramp Network for the initiative. Ramp supports fiat transfers from bank accounts as well as digital banking app Revolut.

The U.K. expansion comes four months after Opera extended the feature to the entire EU and Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and Switzerland. For that initiative, Opera partnered with payments firm Wyre.
