2. Do you only trade Bitcoin or you trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

Before I used to trade a variety of coins depending if there was a profitable opportunity, but as time progressed I decided to focus on trading only one coin "Bitcoin", and to be sincere I saw tremendous success with paying all my attention to one coin, and with time I began to understand Bitcoins behavior and they way to react with its price movement.

I also feel what you are saying here. Trading only one pair is really of advantage because it gives you the much time needed to focus on it, you will have time to read your chart and analyse properly to get a maximum benefit of it unlike trading multiple coins just for greed and yet there is possiblity that at the end you lose both multiple trades. To trade a pair and focus on it gives you concentration to monitor it incase the trade is going wrong you can opt out or you may want to adjust your stop loss or take profit parameters. I have witnessed this, to trade few pairs gives better focus than having multiple pairs which effect is greed.

You're doing a good job when you focus on one thing. And when you've established it well, that's the kind of thing where you know you'll actually make money with Bitcoin at the end of the day. The important thing is that you achieve our goal and target.

Now that we're going to keep that, it's up to us now if we want to increase our coin resources apart from the Bitcoin that we trade on an exchange. Just make sure that we also know the right step and the right crypto that we will add besides Bitcoin.

And when our first established resources are affected, it just means that it is not the right time to add resources; therefore, you have to stick to Bitcoin.

Hi all,
I have some questions to ask y'all about trading from your personal point of view. I am looking to learn and put an opinion piece about trading. So your responses will be much appreciated. I decided not to make it a poll because it will limit the responses I get and I want y'all to be free to express yourselves based on your experiences.

1. Who is a crypto trader?

Crypto trader is a person who speculate the next price action based on some Technical and fundamental Analysis to have an edge over the market.

2. Do you only trade Bitcoin or you trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

I trade mostly BTC/USDT and occasionally ETH/USDT, the price movement of Bitcoin usually dictate the movement of other cryptos.

3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?

I only use one trading strategy which is based on breakout of price and retouch of the resistance and support zones thus I capitalize on volatility of the price.

4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?

I solely rely on Technical Analysis for taking any trading decision and checking and getting updated on Fundamental news is most because it can make or mar the outcome of any trade.

5. As a crypto trader what is your favorite crypto exchange you use for trading?

Binance is my favorite exchange because of it numerous features which are topnotch and it platform is user friendly and easily navigable.

6. Are there other ways you trade crypto without using an exchange ?

1. The ones who do trade with crypto. lol
2. Bitcoin mainly but on the time that i do see some good entries specially on alts, then i do tend to engage and take that opportunity
3. Technical analysis, support and resistance lines, MACD,RSI,BB,EMA and some mix of stochastic
4. If there's fundamentals or news then i do try to correlate it with my TA's and see if it do perfectly match up.
5. Binance and OKX
6. What you do mean? Trading on other form would be in means in P2p which you could possibly able to do on an exchange.

Trading with an unpredictable market is really that hard. You would really be needing to find combinations and possible entries which you could really be able to take advantage with.
Its a continuous process because finding up some good entries and trying out to maximize on whatever things would be then it would be always that necessary or ideal.

Many of the day traders do not trade bitcoin pair. Altcoins make better movements than the bitcoin and it is the movements that brings profit. So, majorly altcoins are traded more than BTC.
-snip-
Why do you think that? Especially in day trading it is important to bet on coins with a lot of volume to be safe from too violent swings where then immediately stop losses would take effect. Here Bitcoin is much better suited than smaller coins with less volume. Also, day trades are repeated very often per day, so individual swings hardly play a role. If you need the risk, you can still use leverage ...

From the responses I got, most persons trade Bitcoin and altcoins but mentioned that they are comfortable trading Bitcoin and avoid altcoins because of their high volatility. As for trading strategies, they use more than one trading strategies. Also to be able to make informed decision, most of the traders use a combination of both technical and fundamental analysis. I'm terms.of trading platform, the most preferred is from the majority of responses is the centralized exchanges. Interesting. Thanks to everyone who responded.
Yes, Bitcoin is known as that but there are times that Bitcoins becomes stable while altcoins are now the ones who move up and down, so it's not also wrong if we can add altcoins as a back up so that we can continuously print money. Two is better than one as they say, so it's also better to have more than one strategy. I guess that is because the market is changing from time to time. It is unexpected so it's important to have a back up strategy, just like what we do earlier or to have a back up crypto once something bad happen to the first one that we are using.

When it comes to analysis, I think it was technical is the favorite of the traders, but it's not wrong to include fundamental if we think we can benefit on it as well. As for the type of exchange, that's right, many prefer CEX even though it requires KYC. I guess that's because it can do a lot of things, or it's also much easier to navigate on it than the DEX.

3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?
This question should not have a specific answer. No one uses only one strategy. Infact, strategies are tested against the other to validate it.

4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?
Combination of both. Before now I thought technical has it all but now I have learnt the power of fundamentals and respect it even more than I respect technical. But the knowledge of both will make you outstanding.

2. Not only bitcoin, but I also trade several altcoins that have good potential.

3. Just a little, using a combination of RSI, MA, and MACD is enough for me, and fast trading or scalping is a favorite.

4. Rely on a combination of technical and fundamental analysis, it is important to combine them because they are all interconnected.

5. Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, and several altcoins that have the potential to provide big profits.

Anyone who trades crypto is a crypto trader, this isn't really a question that should be considered depending on the person, if you trade crypto then you are a crypto trader, it's simple. Trading is a thing you can do anything you want with, bitcoin is the thing I trade the most but not only thing, I trade other stuff a bit as well.

Just a few of them, but I rather not share because if people make a mistake then I do not want to be reliable about it. Combination of both FA and TA together, TA is better on the short term and FA is better on the long term. Binance is by far the best one for me, that is the only one I am using now, used more than a dozen in my life. Not me, there are ways, but not me, I don't do it.

1. Who is a crypto trader?
Someone who buys, sells, or exchanges cryptocurrency for short-term or long-term profits.

Quote
2. Do you only trade Bitcoin or you trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?
Now I only trade Bitcoin. Due to the lack of enough data, I feel that I can not do much with altcoins. Bitcoin is easy to analyze (only if you know the stuff obviously) and its huge available data helps in that process too. So I am into Bitcoin right now.

Quote
3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?
I like to have more than 3 strategies. One for scalping, one for day trading, and if those fails, I try to use long term strategy to make a profit or close the trade with minimum loss.
[Note: I use SL to prevent huge losses.]

Quote
4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?
Technical analysis is always going to be my first choice. It's based on algorithm and calculation. But with fundamental analysis, it's a bit hard to predict and anything could happen. So I just watch the market when the market is driven by fundamental events and not open any trades.
Quote

5. As a crypto trader what is your favorite crypto exchange you use for trading?
I like to be on the safe side. My personal choice is Binance though it is facing some tough times right now. So I won't recommend it. My next choice is Kucoin. But here's the thing. I keep my assets in them only in times when I really need to. Like open trades. After that, I withdraw my assets to a personal wallet. Not your key, not your coins.

I see that everyone who bought cryptocurrencies and traded randomly once or twice and succeeded in doing so calls himself a crypto trader, and perhaps some of them will come to the point that, after a week, they will identify themselves as a crypto expert, and all of them are descriptions of random experiments in trading that led to making profits without having an educational or economic background. Or real reasons why you traded or bought at a certain time or sold at a certain time. The basis of trading for me is news. Anyone who does not have sources that can give him news at an appropriate time and analyze it correctly is not trading in my opinion.

1) A crypto trader can be defined as a trader who owns cryptocurrencies and trades them on a regular basis.

2) Trading requires that you exchange things, buying Bitcoin is not just trading, but rather an investment. There are several strategies, the most famous of which is DCA.

3) Trading strategies vary depending on the trading pair and the goal of trading, but most often the strategies are to buy before changes occur by following the news or relying on technical indicators.

4) A combination of both.

5) There is no preferred stock exchange, but it varies depending on the country and the purpose of trading.

6) This is like buying and selling without a market or intermediary, it is not possible.

1. A trader that deals with crypto...? Is this a trick question or you just generally don't know.

2. I myself trade with other cryptos, in the past it was only Bitcoin but after having a bit more money, expanded my portfolio to a few other altcoins.

3. DCA, if you count that as one. That's the only strategy I'd probably ever use since I have no plans in trying to go full-time in trading. I don't think strategies are that relevant unless you're a full time one.

4. Fundamental Analysis. I have no idea how charts work sometimes really.

5. There isn't really any "best" for me, I just use Binance for the comfort of it.

6. Does DEX count as an exchange? P2P works as well.

1. Who is a crypto trader?

Haha, weird I'm Crypto Trader...

2. Do you only trade Bitcoin or you trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

Hmm, Well mostly do trade with Bitcoin but sometimes, Altcoins as well, but I'm only centred in the Crypto market so, simply you can say I do trade with  Crypto market.

3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?

Hmm, well I'm not a short-time trader, except for the particular market sentiments, For Bitcoin obviously DCA, sometimes Seasonal token hunting, and Da trade with the most possible profit. But DCA is my all time favorite, it better suits me.

4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?

Trading decisions taken are mostly based on the combo of technical analysis and fundamental, But as for now you better know the market is completely ignoring both of them and moving along with the sentiments, so sentimetal analysis is necessary before taking any sort of trade.

5. As a crypto trader what is your favorite crypto exchange you use for trading?

Mostly for trading, I like to use the centralized exchange, as I don't prefer that to everyone but seriously it saves a lot of headaches. Decentralized trading is something that i used to prefer but I'm not regular to that, for some reason, But it doesn't matter at all because my traders are mostly on longer time frames so mostly my funds are not on the non-custodial wallet. In CEX I used to prefer the Kucoin exchange.

6. Are there other ways you trade crypto without using an exchange ?

Yeah, there are, something called P2P.  Grin Grin

To trade profitably there has to be combination of numerous factors to analyze the market that helps better or enhancing your trading experience such as; putting fundamental and technical analysis into consideration. One thing you could find among traders is that some are technically dependent traders, while some are traders that are fundamentally dependent or make one of the two a subordinate in their market analysis.

I do not have a perfect answer for that. Most of my trading this year are bitcoin trading, but I trade altcoins as well. Altcoins are more volatile and are riskier. I can change from one to another at anytime, which can not make my answer here to be accurate.

But I like to let people know, especially the newbie traders, that altcoins are riskier and dangerous. But not that trading is also not risky generally, but bitcoin is less volatile.

3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?
This can not be answered because strategies are just strategies.

Illustration:
You have 0.005 BTC. You are using 0.001 BTC to trade. You use stop lose, take profit. You do not use SL or TP but prefer averaging. You use indicators like BB and RSI. All these that make you complete a successful trades either you gain or lose are the strategies. So you can not ask how many strategies someone use to trade.

4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?
I focus on technical and fundamental analysis.

5. As a crypto trader what is your favorite crypto exchange you use for trading?
I use Binance, Bybit, OKX, Huobi global and Kucoin. Recently I am using BitMart but not really.

6. Are there other ways you trade crypto without using an exchange ?
No.

Even about exchanging cypto to fiat or fiat to crypto and if I do not use a centralized exchange, decentralized exchanges that I use are still exchanges.

1. Who is a crypto trader?
Crypto traders are definitely people who have decided, or are interested in trading in crypto. What is certain is that the person must be prepared for all the consequences/risks.

2. Do you only trade Bitcoin or you trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?
Broadly speaking, I invest and trade in bitcoin and some altcoins (crypto). But most of my money is invested in bitcoin, which I earmark as my long-term investment asset. And the rest of my money is spread into several altcoins (crypto), which are intended for short-term and medium-term trading.

3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?
I personally don't use too many crypto trading techniques. But I only use the DCA technique, which in my opinion is more than enough to make my crypto trading continue to grow.

4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?
Of course, I use both techniques. Because in my opinion the two techniques are very important and must exist with each other. And not only these two techniques, I also use sentimental analysis to see emotional market movements.

5. As a crypto trader what is your favorite crypto exchange you use for trading?
For now I only use binance. Because binance is the best crypto exchange in the world and also has a huge trading volume. And besides that, binance also has a good reputation.

6. Are there other ways you trade crypto without using an exchange ?
Basically, I definitely can't. Because the exchange is a place for cryptocurrencies to be bought and sold.

However, this is possible by using P2P directly, without intermediaries such as exchanges, and by sending crypto from wallet to wallet.

6. Are there other ways you trade crypto without using an exchange ?
5. For, I am currently using Bybit as they have this amazing user interface and user experience, It is very user-friendly especially their mobile application, and easy to use. Another I am using is Binance.

6. I think for this, it is more likely you will use peer-2-peer off the exchange, like not using any crypto exchange platform, like buying/selling to someone like personally or having in contact in social media or any communication just to be able buy and sell crypto.

1. A person that trades crypto?

2. Other cryptocurrencies, and stocks.

3. Nothing specific. But I trade based on narratives and based on protocol metrics.

4. Exclusively fundamental analysis. Though when I want to buy a coin and it just keeps on dropping, I wait for a small bounce before pouncing in. That's pretty much the only price chart thing I do.

5. DEX aggregators: 1inch, Matcha, etc.

6. Pretty much OTC is the only way to trade without a CEX/DEX/P2P? But no I haven't used OTC.

Hi all,
I have some questions to ask y'all about trading from your personal point of view. I am looking to learn and put an opinion piece about trading. So your responses will be much appreciated. I decided not to make it a poll because it will limit the responses I get and I want y'all to be free to express yourselves based on your experiences.
