So crossfire is kinda pointless for mining. I might just get a 5850 for my second card if I can find one. Thanks!

for BTC mining its not matter.
get usual 5870 or 5970 or 69x0 instead, preferably with reference cooler with hot air exhaust.

You can run any 5870 with any other 5870 in crossfire, however mixing VRAM will sync the VRAM quantities (and since you can't sync up, that means you can only sync down).

From a mining perspective it doesn't matter at all.

is it true you can't run the e6 in crossfire mode with a regular 5870 card? I'm not completely sure if a miner would want crossfire support or not though.

A 5870 is a 5870. E6 is not necessary and adds to the cost.

I'm looking at getting a used computer with a SAPPHIRE HD5870 2GB GDDR5 (Eyefinity 6 Edition).

I need some honest opinions. is it worth it? Would it be worth getting a second one to run crossfire? Or should I sell the card and buy two regular 5870's? Like these: http://amzn.com/B002QEBGG0

Thanks Yall.
