I agree, staking is the future. But while you can mine, it's still profitable. I have seen P102 hit 50 MHs out the box. Not stably, but around 46 stable mining ETH. This was 3 weeks ago. But you are absolutely correct Ivakar, based on the price compared to the 104-100, it is too expensive. I think given time this will change. P102-100 will be a lot cheaper over time, especially as Casper approaches.

I applaud those who got some. it seems easier to teach a chicken to fly than to buy one  Tongue

As some of you know, nVidia released some non-gamer cards specific for miners, I'm really curious who has used them and what you've found.
I'm looking to find out your MHs, the wattage they use, what temperature you run them at and finally, if you have had any issues with them. I guess they aren't as popular and haven't been around as long to work out the average longevity of them, but if people have had some since inception and have run them 24/7 without issues, it would be great to know how long you've been running them for, and if any have died, what caused it, and how long did you get out of it?

I was semi interested, and when I saw the trade blockade to overcome to get one... It confirmed (again) my belief in staking with pivx...

for me there is a question, why the card which is cheaper in production, is cost more?
the price for P104 and P106 is about 20% higher then the normal gtx1070 and gtx1060, why it is so?
and I like the amd approach over nvidia, I heard their mining cards has one dvi out. really smart move, imho. Cool

I heard that P102-100 hashrate could reach 47Mh/s in stock settings, but the price is really expensive compared to p104 and p106.

Check this thread and maybe you can get more idea about p102-100

Dude I know the feeling. I may be able to get a custom built rig of 9 P104-100's, in case, with fans, mobo, cpu, SSD, ram, PSU...pretty much everything except the OS, for $5300 USD. If I can secure that deal, ooh boy!

For your interest, you could check my very detail thread about P104-100.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/very-first-tests-p104-100-39-mhs-ethash-470-sols-zec-nice-gpu-2677496

I havent had any chance to test P102-100, but I think its hashrate should be above 50 mh/s. Actually, P104-100 and P102-100 or even P106-100 which I had a lot now, they are dedicated GPUs for mining, so I think there's no problem on 24/7 operation. My P106-100 rigs mined almost 6 months without any problem, yeah so far so good, I just need to do cleaning each 1.5 month for my farm, and guarantee the ventilation plan is good. My key settings typically like: Power limit 85%, make sure GPU's temperature is below 65C.

This is amazing and exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. I'm really keen to check out the P102-100. I think based on dollar value, the P104 is the best, but it's usually the way where the P102 is expensive as it's the new kid on the block, as the price goes down, it will be the best card performance for dollar. I'm hoping to get 1.5 years at least out of the cards if I run them at 80% psu load, and running them at 55-60 degrees. Obviously intent on keeping them dustfree and cooled 24/7.

I dont have much info about P102 for now, but I think it's difficult to get it due to limited supply. My group buy even had a contract with local distributor for P104-100 few months ago with price was claimed at ~450$, but so far we havent got the deal, I think the P104 batch already sold for some body who would like to pay more. The listed price in some small retails is more than 595$, it's too expensive for us.
