There's a lot of opportunity using bitcoin, you can start business using this, start to lend your money with fair interest, loading system with rebates and etc. This is only a sample of opportunity you can try using bitcoin.
That is one way we can do it. Business opportunities that are profitable and also easy to do.
We should only be required to be able to manage and manage finances and how to find the right consumer.
In fact, I have found out that the bitcoin is a great opportunity in every moment, not only right now or back then-it is still a great idea to buy it, even if we consider that the price is really huge comparing it to the prices that we had on the past.

Someone may ask why, and the answer is incredibly easy.
You can literally just start a new business, even without a big investments! You dont have to register any company because you work alone with your own money.

Take a look for that: let's say you have 2 bitcoins.
You can diversify that amount on many kind of investments, put up 0.5 btc in the most known and trusted bitcoin casinos.
After that, put up 0.5 bitcoin on loaning purposes (for example on polo, they provide great rates) so you have 1 more bitcoin. You can use also 0.5 for loaning too, but this time on the bitcointalk.

You still got 50 milion satoshi right? How about using that for trading? If you are not into it, then there is also a possibility to just hold it, for profits!

As we all are aware that the price of bitcoin is drastically going down so can we called this a trading opportunity.
What i was thinking is all the people who are currently holding bitcoin can convert it to any alt like maybe monero and let the price of bitcoin go more down and then buy when yiu think the price won't grow more.

Disclaimer:
I would recommend only for those people to do who will get some sort of profit by selling their bitcoin if you purchased at a higher then i would recommend you to refrain from doing this.
Your thinking is totally different from normal people. You are suggesting to sell bitcoins and invest them in altcoin to increase your bitcoin holding.Have you thought about the risk involved in this?Thats definitely a ridiculous idea.

I don't understand what you really mean by going down, if you look at the price of BTC this time last year, it has done 3X for investors, I don't think Bitcoin price can go that low again unless something bad really happen. I won't trade BTC for any of those Altcoins
in fact we can only think about that price but the price is really not going to fell down so much. i think the increasing trend of bitcoin will continue for a long long time. because as soon as people know about bitcoin they try to invest their money in bitcoin and therefore the demand of bitcoin is increasing from time to time which is also causing the price of bitcoin to increase.

You are right. Opportunity we could get from bitcoin is always available and we never need to rush to avail them. Unfortunately the people who are rushing for cashing out bitcoin on some peak levels, finding themselves regretting after some time as bitcoin prices are continuously increasing and making them missing opportunities out of their improper decisions.

Just keep on holding bitcoin will ensure we are into opportunities and we never need to look for other opportunities. Just holding bitcoin as long as we are able to, will be more than enough imho.

Right opportunity is here to those who need work they can join here in bitcointalk and earn money. I have no work since 2016 but i'm very thankful to my friend he teach me how to create account here then i joined signature campaign. Its really a big help to me.
It is a really strange thing for me, lately I have spotted incredibly big amount of users, that have high rank accounts (Senior member and better) and are typing like a complete newbies.
I cannot understand if that is because they just have bought the accounts to make up the money from signature campaining, or people are forgetting to re-log so usually? I think that is obviously the case number 1.

And it is totally the same with you gandame, you speak like a newbie which has been on this forum for few hours, but you have senior member with 716 posts made!
How is that possible, that you have made up to such a rank with that kind of posting, most of your replies are one-line, and you are even in the signature campaining, very interesting.
That what signature campaigns do, mate.
Most of people, who join signature campaigns, are only here on this forum to earn bitcoins, nothing less, nothing more. They don't know what bitcoin is, and they are not even interested in any information about it. It's a way of profit, it seems. Just post anything technical related to bitcoin, and they will pass.

What's wrong with both of you. Did you even read what is written on the main post. Stop getting of topic.

Dude what you are saying is wrong. This is basically trading stuffs. What we do is sell at high price and then sell at a lower price. So i was saying in relation to that. Plus there is no doubt that bitcoin has provided really good return but trading is the only decent method to grow bitcoins.

I cannot agree with you, because everything is dependant on the perspective.

You were able to get help thanks to your friend, because you have the chance to earn some small cash by joining the signature campaining, moreover you treat this like a job, so I assume that the costs of living in your country are not high.
For the people in more developed countries, where everything is more expensive, signature campaining is not something that you can rely on as a main source of income.
The payment from that kind of activity is just too small enough to exist in e.g US or UK. You need to have some job, to have a possibility of paying your bills.

Yes that is true.
I have been using online payments for quite a while now and I dont even remeber how much I got from all the rebates. Also the loading system from my website wallet is used all the time. Not bad for a 5 percent rebate for every prepaid load.
When you get a lot of customers it is easy to profit a lot. That is the opporunity I embraced from using bitcoin. Can be beneficial while holding.

Retrospectively thinking you are completely right.

The price was certainly down by a lot, actually to around $800 even.

That price sounds too good to be true right now.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if bitcoin price is going to $2,000 or even more by the end of the year. People said bitcoin could never break $1,000 againn last year. I think this is again true, but the figure is $2,000.

your suggestion was not in favor I think  for the community here. And I dont know why are you recommending monero as a replacement in bitcoin..are you promoting it or what? But honestly speaking I will not apply to shift all my bitcoin savings in any altcoin like what you had just saying.
First of all stop blindly replying to my main post. I had started this post when bitcoin was dropping so i had a suggestion that everyone sells their bitcoin and buy monero and when bitcoin becomes super low buy bitcoin again. So you get profit from re buying bitcoin and by buying monero.

This is just one of the opportunities or trading styles which you can able to make profit but switching to alt so that bitcoin would dump even more isn't possible or wont happen anytime as you wish, you might do such action but some people wont do the same thing if you sell or switch then others will take the opportunity to buy and price grows on a point where it leaves you in negative for sure. Its not a smart move afterall if you believe on this purely.

This is the truth that during the down of the bitcoin price , specially when you bought at high rate , then it is more better to buy any altcoin with your bitcoin  , but here we should remain careful that we should not buy any long time dead altcoin instead to buy famous stable marketing altcoin .
Second idea to make your bitcoin value in the average is that when bitcoin price get down then buy small fraction , if get again down then buy again small fraction of the bitcoin , in this way your buy price remain in average of the market price

I don't understand what you really mean by going down, if you look at the price of BTC this time last year, it has done 3X for investors, I don't think Bitcoin price can go that low again unless something bad really happen. I won't trade BTC for any of those Altcoins
Each user as well traders have their own interest on digital currency and they too have different plans of making money through the same. There are lot users who have been earning good through altcoins trading. As mentioned the price difference compared with the price of the last year same time is simply a big multiple. So price haven't gone down. What Op has stated is the price that fell from $1200 towards $950 and which retained and came back soon.

Actually this is what we call as a earning opportunity but still the price hasn't been going down so quickly. I won't call it a golden opportunity but yeah if you buy some bitcoins now surely you will have a chance at selling for much higher price in next 2 months for sure.

Though these all the answers given by the above posts and even by me and our personal opinion and don't just buy what you can't afford in case price does not increase.

It's better just to keep on believing and trusting bitcoin. The opportunity is already given by just keeping your coins at any of your storage, web wallet, cold storage. But with op's suggestion of converting it to some other alt coins, for me, it's a good idea as long as you know what you are doing and you are also ready for taking the risk.
Altcoins trading has become quite shit, I would suggest that we just keep in the wallet and sell them at a better price.

If I were a trader, I would sell off Bitcoin at the moment. That's the only opportunity I see now.
Well you can say that but I can always guarantee mate that the price will increase much much higher in coming weeks. Though I won't be making a statement but you can see soon and thank me later.

Yes because it wont work with just a low number of bitcoin considering the buying rate will always be too higher than the selling rate. Maybe 1 or 2 bitcoin could be felt but below that? It is not much profitable or you might even lose some without knowing it.
I agree with the waiting thing or if your bitcoin is in a trading website then it will be faster.
Just pick the right altcoin to where you would do your trade or else it might lower the capital that you have input there.

Trading is always opportunity just depends how you use it, will you make the profit or loss, depends how skilled and experienced you are. This opportunity is not for everyone and not everyone would know how to deal with it so at the end they could be very disappointed. If you watch the market very closley and follow all the trends you could have opportunities almost every day.
Yes, with respect to bitcoin trading the basics of trading got new dimension in my view. Because the opportunities are always available for bitcoin traders and they are always making sure shot profits by simply holding their bitcoins relatively some long durations which is not at all available with any other type of trading.

We never need to worry about opportunities in bitcoin trading because people do always say every price is good enough to enter. Because they will hold their positions to make profits, yes the second chances are always there.

an opportunity to trade: absolutely. if you are a trader be 100% sure that it is a good opportunity to trade bitcoin and make a lot of money because of the volatility. this doesn't mean it is going to be easy though.

an opportunity to buy/sell: this is becoming tricky, if you want to invest or if you were trying to sell on top and buy at the bottom once then i am afraid it is not easy to do. as a day trader you can find ups and downs and make profit from them but to find a top and sell to buy back at bottom is hard right now because it has already gone down and the resistance for going lower is getting bigger and bigger with traders competing with each other to set buy orders.
The first reason people choose to trade is because of its wide opportunity to earn. But do not thik that it may be easy because in trading especially on bitcoim there is always a risk. So one should always monitor the price and the value to know when to buy or sell or even to hold on incoming changes on rate and price. It maybe a sure good oppurtunity just continue to work hard and to always focus on tradings to earn.

No pain, no gain, higher profit means higher risk.  I also agree with OP's idea and is really best if we can do it successfully.  It may need a higher level of trading skill, so if we are just starting out, it will be best to learn the market first.  Know the environment of the target altcoin and pick the one that is not yet pumped or had been stagnant for so long (stagnant but with stable support). In short, do a thorough research.  If we cannot do this stuff, I believe it is better to just hold Bitcoins and wait for it to increase.

Yeah. Just hold in right now and don't think of ever selling it and go pump alt-coin again. If you don't like to buy bitcoin now because of its current price, then why not go to alt-coin instead of selling it. Hold it now and don't take the risk of selling it. Just think of it as your investment for longer term.

It is not an opportunity in my opinion. Bitcoin wad the start of all the crypto currencies and doing something like this will just hurt the price more rather than giving any profit to it.
I know that there are only some people in the Bitcoin universe who legitimately think of Bitcoins future. But we have to think about it rather taking advantage of the situation.
But our selling will always be someone else's buying, and if the plan is to buy back in fairly soon, that'll be great because other people will benefit from buying at a lower price.

But it's too late now, the price has gone way back up.
I doubt that it is too late now to buy bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is still low and the last price was $1300 high. So i don't think it is late now because you can still buy a lot of bitcoins and hold it for a bit long time and sell it for a higher price where you can get satisfaction with your possible profits.
Yes that's true it's never late in bitcoin if you see the only best thing to buy bitcoins at a low price is more profit and nothing else. Even if you buy bitcoin at 1200$ within few months the price will reach 1400$ and some people bought at 900$ so the only difference is the profit earned that's it nothing else.
we should be able to do the proper analysis to be able to predict the price of bitcoin.
but looking at the movement today is the purchase bitcoin is a right decision.

Yeah, the prediction is the most important way to get an advantage in a way. Because the prediction gives an overview that is pretty good in a step to be taken or things that will happen in the future. For bitcoin also requires analysis and prediction as well, however in the bitcoin we don't always do the analysis and predictions. Because the price of the bitcoin definitely will experience ups and downs, just waiting for the right time to do the analysis and prediction of correctly

I see an opportunity to sell Bitcoin when it goes very high ($1200) and buy a major altcoin that is low. Really this is just basic trading Bitcoin to an altcoin but once you buy the altcoin, you can trade it for USD if Bitcoin holds a high price. It's a little hard to trade Bitcoin while the price stays so high.
Yeah its so really hard t trade if the bitcoin price is so high (not an hard) but your right because if bitcoin price is pumping, then altcoin would dump for sure, so the best way that we need to do is buy an altcoin that trully dump like STRAT (it dumps to 30k and now it pump to 60k) what a nice pump and dump

Why i really don't get it. Why do we even need to analyse the price of bitcoin so that predict the future price. If you bought bitcoin before the current price then you are in a profit. Basically bitcoin is like a profit machine, or like a plant the more you hold the more it grows. Analysis is only for alts.

Even if you buy bitcoin at 1200$ within few months the price will reach 1400$ and some people bought at 900$ so the only difference is the profit earned that's it nothing else.

i agree with you, there is not too late to buy bitcoin for now, as we see the price giving a good price in last night and until now the price is going to increase. we still can make profit with this increasingly of the price but if we want to make more profit, then we should waiting for more and its still worth to hold bitcoin for more longer than we sell now.
As long as the market is moving then we can still make a lot of profits if we are just a good professional trader. A good trader can make money with bitcoin without holding it for long thru short term trading where he take advantage of the high price of bitcoin and its fast movement. If bitcoin is too high then it is not worth it hold for long because it is more worth to trade it for short term rather than long term to avoid big losses.

This statement of yours was a very horrible idea in my point of view, why will I do that? to convert my bitcoin into altcoin, it's not a good idea dude! Bitcoin it maybe  drop but it doesn't mean it will down straight to zero, In fact, the price value now of bitcoin is really calming because it move upward and recovering it now.

Bitcoin is very heplful for those who earn using this. This opportunity gives people work to earn profit and money. In bitcoin more time needed because of proper learning and knowledge. Being active gives more opportunity to earn money because in bitcoin there's other way to earn like investing trading and gambling. All of this need to monitor to make sure for success. Then trading right timing for the oportunity in buying and selling of bitcoin.

But from a traders point of view, I could not any option other than making use of fluctuations for my trading. I guess the solution for sclability issue could be suggested by anyone but I am not sure devs will read our posts or not. Because I am not seeing any appreciations nor criticism on form about the post which are concerning about development of bitcoin ecosystem.

It is always a good opportunity to buy bitcoins when it's price is going down. But aside from bitcoin, it is also good idea to get some promising altcoins into your inventory. This is just an option since every time bitcoins price tanks, altcoin price goes up. This way, you will always have profit even if bitcoin price goes up or down.

I think to buy alt coins is good only if you use a small part of your money to do it. It's very risky, alt coins are more unstable than Bitcoin and we don't have the sure they worth or not on long term like Bitcoin. I personally don't have much money to invest, so I prefer to focus in Bitcoin, maybe a little part of my balance I can use to hold alt coins, but just a little part...

i don't think so because with altcoin, we can make big profit too and if we compare with bitcoin, with the same amount of money like $10, we only trade USD-BTC for example, how much profit we can get? but it would different if we use $10 to buy bitcoin and then we doing trade with btc-altcoin, then i think you can earn big profit in altcoin and finally your bitcoin can increase too and its about more than $100 that you can withdraw. i think altcoin still exist and even there will be many new altcoin that will help and support bitcoin and the traders can book big amount of bitcoin in finally.

So you are trying to say that the low price of bitcoin is not consider as an opportunity? Well you are wrong because it is an opportunity and you can easily get profit if you buy bitcoin now and then keep it and wait for the pump price soon or hold it for long term because for sure you will earn good amount of profit because bitcoin is designed for long term investment.

I never analyzed about altcoins for long term investments. As per current trend it seems altcoins coins are doing well (today litecoins got 100% appreciations). Still I am afraid to invest there, as per past records, altcoins may get dumped at any time just before we could book profits too. Unlike bitcoins, we cannot be sure it will bounce back any time soon.

At the same time we can be sure about bitcoins like it will always show opportunities as price of bitcoin is known for bouncing back from any fall. Also, some new companies keep on trying for bringing out bitcoin ETF. So the opportunity of bitcoin is available now and we can believe this trend will continue for ever.

Unfortunately, the price has been on the increase once again as we now experience another gradual picking of prices. Bitcoin has grown to a point in my opinion where anybody who wants to make profit in bitcoin will see opportunity in every situations and wont wait until when someone announces on the thread that the this is the right time to buy. Its a function of risk and for those who are ready to take such risk.
Yeah i know i'm totally aware of it. I had seen somewhere that the price would drop more and i checked the analysis and i actually felt the price would drop more and if we actually had followed this strategy there would be a chance that the price could have gone more down. Anyways until then will will wait for the price to give us new surprises.

This is not a bad idea to grow your money because I myself find the bitcoin as the down in the price and also getting the loss from.the last week because the down in the price change my total hold money in my bitcoin wallet , so here it is more better to sell bitcoin and buy any better growing altcoin . Atleast we need to small trade so that the value of the bitcoin that we have should remain in the average priced value .
Here is myself thinking to convert my bitcoin in Putin Because the price of the Putin is very low Currently which is about 125 Satoshi per Putin .

I choose to have some Bitcoin for a long term investment while also trading some in the short term. My short term trading is with small amounts of Bitcoin but also some Etherium and Dash.

Bitcoin is both good for short and long term investment, you can choose what you much prefer. We can earn profits in a short time because of the price volatility
I believe this is not right time for targeting short-term profits unless you are an active and professional trader. Still short-term like 3 to 6 month may work for gaining profits, but aiming for long term profits will always the opportunity anyone could get.

yeah it may not so big but for others it is already enough and it is good also to hold your BTC for long time like you invested last year and see the results now, you really made a very big amount of money.
So far as per the statistics, only long-term holder for making huge profits with bitcoin investment and short-term traders sometimes facing losses too.
Couldn't agree more, most of the short-term traders are emotionally getting affected by the current price changing, news, and so on whereas the long term traders are just leaving their bitcoin inside their wallet for a long time and get back when they conclude that the current price is most suitable for selling.
My opinion, honestly, I would prefer altcoins for short term and bitcoin for the long term. Bitcoin is really hard to be predicted but altcoin is pretty much the opposite.

yes this is a good time to buy Bitcoins, because there is an opportunity not horrifically waste anymore and buy Bitcoin with selling altcoins you've made money.
Yes, we do see bitcoin prices are in trading range bound, usually it will break on upper side. Buying right away seems a very good decisions and I never bother about holding altcoins for longer haul. Holding bitcoins or adding more bitcoins to your hoarding will never disappoint anyone. Opportunity based on bitcoin will remain available to us all the times at least for next 2 centuries so NO wonder about the opportunity which is available right now.

we can see many opportunity when bitcoin price is getting down in many times and this is a good time to buy and we can get much of bitcoin if we have big budget. i am sure that if we buy with low price and hold it for a long time, bitcoin price will be increase more than just 10% from the price we bought. there is wide open for bitcoin opportunity and we can make big profit because of this, so i think if we see the price is down, then we can buy more bitcoin and wait until price is reach the high price.

It seems like a good way to hedge your investment in bitcoin but not necessarily a good way to invest your money and make a profit.

If you want to take risks and you're willing to do that then maybe you should just try shorting bitcoin. Very very very risky, especially when you're doing it with leverage like 2.5x which means if bitcoin rises by 40% then you'll have nothing left.

I suggest using Ethereum though if you were going to hedge against bitcoin with an altcoin because it is the most well known altcoin.

It's really all up to you though what you do with your coins.

Well, it can be done technically but it would take a gargantuan effort to do so and you need to program people to do the thing you want them to do. If miners could not come up with a united decision whether to go BTU or just BTU, how much this kind of idea? In other words, this is impossible virtually because you are not just taking here of 10 people or even a hundred people but numbering into multiple of thousands if not millions of Bitcoin holders. However, I do credit with your creative imagination. Peace!  Smiley

In my opinion anytime is good for long term investment because it always going up for the price and now the price is a bit low then there is no doubt that it is a buying opportunity for long term investors and soon if they buy and keep it for a bit long time then when the price pump will come, for sure they will earn a lot of money.
Long term investment is tedious and the market movement would be slow, hence slow profit. Long term investment aren't always going up, it also falls down hence there is no assurance of always money making in long term investment.

I don't agree on this things, If I saved bitcoin its for the bitcoin itself only. I can buy some atlcoin but I won't touch any of my bitcoin savings. its for my future, whether there is a crisis or not, I will hold it for a long term.

Yes and we cannot have more faith on monero as it can down anytime but holding bitcoin is safe as price will surely go higher in future so its better not to experiment with your bitcoins by investing it anywhere as if you hold it for long term will give you higher profits.

I don't agree on this things, If I saved bitcoin its for the bitcoin itself only. I can buy some atlcoin but I won't touch any of my bitcoin savings. its for my future, whether there is a crisis or not, I will hold it for a long term.

Though the price of bitcoin really deep to $891 last across major exchangers sites but I doubt if any altcoin do better those time. Currently bitcoin price is around $1050 and what happened last week about forks and bitcoin unlimited if it happens to any altcoins I don't think it will survive it.

Its a function of risk and for those who are ready to take such risk.

as you can see by today, bitcoin price always goes up unexpectedly, it means the direction is reversed without any prior notices and you converting bitcoin to an altcoin can end up very badly.

with that said, if you can go into trading altcoins by buying those that aren't pumped yet can be very profitable for you but you should remember to dump before the end comes.

This few weeks the price is very bad, it is a good opportunity to buy and hold, but it is also contain risk, because this time the falling down is because of the sensitive issue, there might be a chance that bitcoin going to free fall, so at this time it is better to watch and observe, because the stake is quite high but this volatility makes good opportunity to do trading
If its rate goes down, it would be greay time to buy. If its rate goes down again, it would be greater time to buy. Volitality has a benefits for experienced traders. However, it affects new traders or bitcoin holder which costs them to lose some of their money due to lack of experience in the volitality of bitcoin. Yet, as time goes by they will learn and would choose to hold their bitcoin during volitality instead of selling it.

Indeed, the perfect time was when the prices were back at $900. If you bought some coins at that level then you would have profited more than %10 already as the prices went up by that much since it fell. It is hard to tell though, as newbie traders will see that this could possibly go down some more as it is very scary to buy into a plummeting price of a coin.

I've read an article on the correlation of altcoin prices and bitcoin prices, i think actually ripple was the altcoin that they focused on.

Whenever bitcoin dived, ripple would go up. And whenever bitcoin went up, ripple will go down.

This is a great way to park your funds temporarily, hedging against the falling bitcoin price, and selling that ripple into bitcoin later, all without any bank accounts, any fiat currency involvement and it's quick and easy.

If you are this certain that bitcoin prices are going to go down, then maybe you should just short sell your coins, however that hasn't went well for me.

well that is a bad advice.
lets say you convert your bitcoins to an altcoin there are multiple scenarios.
1- altcoin price remains the same. in this case you still have the same amount of bitcoin! so you end up only paying fees
2- altcoin price goes up. in this case you make profit, but the question is by how much. usually altcoins can get pumped high. right now most of them are being pumped anyways, in case of monero it went up nicely but in general monero has a pretty solid and stable price. so back to 1 in general.
3- altcoin price drops. and this happens more than you think. they get dumped real hard and you lose the little bitcoin you had before you go in.

also i find another big problem with this. you end up storing altcoins on the exchange because it is not possible in most cases to run the wallet for these altcoins and most don't have an SPV wallet either and that is a risky move.
These are pretty solid scenarios that I exactly ran through in my shitty experience with YoShit. I profited at first, then ended up with a list full of shitcoins that I couldn't sell or burn, and lost all my BTC to one shitcoin or another.

If the person who's going to take advantages of earning profit by buying bitcoin is aiming profit in form of fiat, then, by converting it to altcoin he would be doomed. Just see, when you convert your bitcoin to altcoins while at the same time, bitcoin's price is drastically falling, and fortunately the altcoins were go above and hit the moon, the amount of money (in fiat) that you'll receive is seem to be the same due to the downfall of bitcoin's price, and the rest, could get you lose, just my 2 cents, but that's from my experiences.
to me as we can see that still the use of bitcoin as currency in not available everywhere, therefore i think most of the people are using bitcoin for investment to make some money and i think trading is the best option for making good amount of bitcoin in a shot period of time.

See i get it I'm not saying that there wouldn't be any loss it is obvious that's why i posted this in trading discussion i thought of idea but i was wrong as the price is gone to 975$ so it's impossible to execute my idea now. If we won't take any risk in trading we won't earn any profit right so that's all i was trying to explain

One of the best opportunities if you ask me, because someone with more than 51% of total hash power is not insane to literally deny himself money.
Why? because they have every thing to lose if they do the hard fork, they'll lose half a million dollars every day if they do.
But no matter what happens even if they've been paid a fortune to shut down bitcoin by losing millions first they should know that market will recover after a year or two, this is actually the bright side of decentralized currency even if mining becomes centralized and they decide to f**k up the system by split the honest and friendly nodes/miners will continue to function as normal and system will regain the community's trust over time, so yes this is one of the rarest opportunities to accumulate as much as you can.

Yes it's a good time to buy Bitcoins. I would recommend going a head and buying Bitcoin by selling altcoins that you have made money on. But if you think Bitcoin could drop a little more, there's nothing wrong with waiting a few days.

I do too, I can wait because this is the part where the people are given a chance to buy bitcoin. Some users convert their bitcoin to monero which I think is the opposite. We just need patience, we need to wait., as they say, Good things come, for those who wait..

looking at it in a positive ways, if you believe for sure things will be fine with you, as we keep seeing btc's downfall for those who knew this opportunity for sure they will keep buying and hold it until the time of rising up happen again, its a risk but for those who knows and understand the situation gaining from this still possible.
Yes that is correct. It is still possible for us traders to earn money in this downfall because this is normal for a cryptocurrency like bitcoin because of the upcoming hardfork but if you are a true bitcoin believer then you will just buy the dumps and keep the coins and wait for the pump and sell it. That is how the game works, You see dump, you buy, you wait, you sell, you take home the profit.

That's a terrible idea and non-ethical bullshit. The least thing a trader want to do,make most out of the situation when they're doing bad ?Why the fuck would we do anything to get the bitcoin price down ?
Bitcoin is more than a mean of earning and trading for some people unlike you. While the devs and community is fighting for the future of bitcoin, dumbasses like you are trying to make the situation worse.
Seriously,fuck yourself.

Thing is, people with loads of money wouldn't care about ethics anymore. If you are in the given situation, you would think of how would you save yourself rather than being a martyr who would lose money to "save" the day. These devs you're talking about is also fighting for their interest and money, and big money is on the line. How about those people who bought big? Do you think they would just let themselves lose money in the process while the others are gaining more from their losses? Lol

You some point that we need to trade bitcoin to altcoin because if the current number of btc will decrease the price of it is affected so that the price of bitcoin is down also then that's the time to buy bitcoin then sell it at high. I think that is the reason why the price of bitcoin is going down and I think that is the role of cryptocurrencies.

I think you don't understand the premise you put forward. so you expect more than 16 million in circualtion to move into altcoin market that is just half of Bitcoin market cap. You can hedge your profit in some nice project but it will be foolishness to move all your BTC. I prefer to use lending, now it is very profitable, if you have 100BTC at a lending rate of 0.2% you will have 6BTC profit at the end of the month

Those people that are actually doing that are really scared of losing but for those solid holders they aren't going to think about it. They will just patiently wait for bitcoin's price to increase again. Although that is truly a risky move I don't suggest that anyone to do but if you will take the risk it's up to you.

- I think your advice was not a good idea, its equivalent that I hurt myself if I do what you had just said. true bitcoin now was totally dropped below 1000$ but it doesn't mean it's suicidal for the bitcoin holders, of course not, I will still hold my coins, my belief will still be remained at ease.

The movement of bitcoin which is going down is indeed a opportunity or a trading opportunity because if we continue to stick on the principle of trading which is buy low sell high then this kind of price is actually a sign that we should have a target price for our entry in doing trading or investment. As of now i can say that it is better to watch the movement and try to trace some patterns so we can have a better chance of catching the best moment to get in.

Surely the opportunity is to buy Bitcoin when it's at a low point and sell it when it goes back up again.  Even if it drops lower you'll know that you chose to buy in the lapse of an otherwise positive outlook.

The only time you should do this is if you have a lot of money in Bitcoin, can't buy any more and can't afford to lose the Bitcoin.  If you want to hold it in an altcoin in this case, you're right that the best choice would be Monero because it has real usage and unique purpose for the dark web etc, whereas DASH for example is trying to imitate Bitcoin's purpose and won't get far.  Monero might not rise much more but because it's not just a profiteering attempt and has steady usage it'll be stable.

I think this is whats happening now and altcoin are the direct beneficiary of this  btc dumping. In several exchanges, several altcoins usually in ETH contract are on green, it means up. It is good if you are knowledgeable trader, you know where to put your btc.

not really, it is because of how bitcoin is and has nothing to do with eth and its contracts.
it is the season of altcoin pumping and everywhere you look there are altcoins, some of which so random, getting pumped 100% at a time.
for example: Dash, XMR, XRP, PIVX, NXT, LTC, Doge, Lisk, FCT, Ark, and lots of others.

Lol most of the replies are of full dumbness.
First of all if we sell our bitcoin it is obvious the price will go more down but I'm not so dumb idiot like you who thinks that if i see the price will go more down. Just imagine if most of us sell now and the price goes to maybe 700$ or maybe low it is obvious 90% of the people who sold will invest back in bitcoin and plus as the price will be 700$ there will be more people buying the coin because they know that it is obvious the price will increase in long run. And i hope you are aware that the sudden increase in price of eth is because people removed there money from bitcoin and invested there. It can be a win opportunity for you also because if so many people convert to monero or eth the price of those altcoins will also increase. Stop acting like fools don't miss this opportunity as most people don't care for features of these coins.

an opportunity to trade: absolutely. if you are a trader be 100% sure that it is a good opportunity to trade bitcoin and make a lot of money because of the volatility. this doesn't mean it is going to be easy though.

an opportunity to buy/sell: this is becoming tricky, if you want to invest or if you were trying to sell on top and buy at the bottom once then i am afraid it is not easy to do. as a day trader you can find ups and downs and make profit from them but to find a top and sell to buy back at bottom is hard right now because it has already gone down and the resistance for going lower is getting bigger and bigger with traders competing with each other to set buy orders.

What i was thinking is all the people who are currently holding bitcoin can convert it to any alt like maybe monero and let the price of bitcoin go more down and then buy when yiu think the price won't grow more.
Absolutely, either we should contribute something for progress, otherwise we should keep quiet and shouldnot implement such ideas of selling bitcoins now with the idea of making its price to fall more.We shouldnot be selfish. You people should remember that bitcoin has given you such wonderful earning opportunities otherwise i dont know what people like you would be doing now.
