The Organtree goal is to develop a platform based on Blockchain technology where people in need of an organ transplant don’t have to be listed on a never ending waiting list or be tempted by the idea of paying hundreds of thousands for human tissues on the black market. The Organtree project aims to break taboos and norms with an ambitious vision that could save the lives of millions on a global level.
The illegal trade of all organs adds up to between US$840 million and $1.7 billion annually and accounts for an estimated 10 percent of transplanted organs.
Organtree is successfully encouraging more people to become donors by helping to offer their family members financial incentives and payments towards bereavement costs.
With less than 10 per cent of the world having life insurance Organtree helps to offer something to loved ones after a family member dies.
Our current platform allows recipients, donors and hospitals to sign up. The hospitals can enter the platform when a patient enters to immediatly identify a match.
When a donor signs up they designate a beneficiary who will recieve the incentive after passing. By using blockchain technology we have further found a way to make the process of matching donors and recipients via private hospital systems even more seamless.
The Organ Tree blockchain platform is the first of its kind. It is currently being developed to provide authorized, vetted medical institutions with the capability to search the globe confidentially, and find a match to their patients who are the most in need of an organ transplant.
- Access to a global network of donors, recipients, medical institutions, life

Blockchain has created a revolution where by the centralised bodies no longer have full control over outcomes and we can collectively unite to join forces to make the world a better place.
