What are the origins of the orange bitcoin logo? Is there any significance to the orange color?

Here is a good discussion about the bitcoin logo:

And this is the Original logo: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bitcoin_logo.svg

The first Bitcoin logo satoshi made is gold colour with some shades like a actual physical coin.

Then bitboy create another design of Bitcoin logo with flat orange colour, it's more simple and readable than the old one. However the orange colour isn't really orange, it's more like golden orange. Probably the colour are not contrast and eye catching, so he change to orange.

Here's a good article about the history of Bitcoin's logo: https://decrypt.co/43923/bitcoins-logo-the-story-of-the-big-orange-b

As for the orange color, it's a safe assumption that orange was chosen because it's a really close color match and sort of "modernized" version of the gold color; which is used a lot of times when depicting something valuable(or you know, gold the metal).
