I don't do the best job of tracking every coin, and I haven't mined Skein myself.

If it uses an algorithm supported by ccminer then you should be able to mine it with nvOC.  It most likely has a specific fork which performs better.  If you find me the link to the clients repo and tell me what pool you want to / do use to mine skein, then I can add the client and modify oneBash for the next version.

In windows I use the alexis78 version from nemo's miner and I mine at Z-pool : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/nemosminer-multi-algo-profit-switching-nvidiacpu-miner-1777336

My batfile looks like this :
Code:
 ccminerAlexis78.exe -r 0 -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u BTC ADDDRESS -p c=BTC

https://github.com/alexis78/ccminer

Skein is paying really well atm...$23/1080ti/day

So I added this client and then tried to mine DGB with it; there is a problem: the linux version of this fork doesn't support skein.   Sad

wow that sucks, I'm doing about 2GH to 2.1GH on my 3x1080 TI rig on nvOC with intensity set to 26

Not sure how different that is from what the TP fork does; that's about 700 per 1080ti?

Fullzero,

First I wanted to say this is an excellent edition to anyone doing nvidia mining on linux. Just hands down and the fact that you made it free is even crazier!

Thank you so much.

Secondly, a question is is their a way to put failover addresses?

Glad you like nvOC.  Smiley

this depends on the client, EWBF has no failover, Claymore does.  not sure about ccminer or sgminer (I will check later)

I can implement this in a later oneBash for you; going to work on other things for new version today however.

sgminer failover is available.

best thing about it is that you put the failover pool all in the same command line, without external config file like Claymore

I have noticed this ZEC worker (looks like a 6x 1070 rig) mining for me; I'm not sure if it is intentional or not:

For new miners: always ensure that you replace my addresses with your own for any coin you mine. (unless you are intentionally mining for me)

I have noticed a lot of XMR miners pointed to the nvOC default XMR address as well.  Could be a farm or many individual miners.

To reduce the possibility of unintended mining for me I have changed the default setting of plusCPU in the newest oneBash:

plusCPU="NO"

if you have plusCPU="YES" in oneBash; your rig will mine a very minor amount of XMR with the CPU.  To ensure this mining is for you; in this section:

# if plusCPU is "YES" replace with your XMR info
XMR_WORKER="nvOC"
XMR_ADDRESS="47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGR oyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB.23d5f83d0021a50d8f809f4727c8622d3ea25798942bcb1ba0eee40cc157f6 5c"
XMR_POOL="stratum+tcp://xmr-us-east1.nanopool.org:14444"

you need to replace my XMR address:

XMR_ADDRESS="47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGR oyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB.23d5f83d0021a50d8f809f4727c8622d3ea25798942bcb1ba0eee40cc157f6 5c"

with your own (unless you are intentionally mining for me)

I have had reports from users of 1080ti rigs having slightly lower GPU hashrates while using all threads with plusCPU.  I have also noticed this myself with 7+ GPU rigs.  I implemented a threadCOUNT (was xleejohnx's idea) which I default to 1 thread in the newest oneBash.

# Number of threads for plusCPU
threadCOUNT="1"

In my tests using 1 thread had no effect on GPU hashrates; so I recommend making an XMR wallet if you don't already have one (you can also use a poloniex deposit address as well for this) and using plusCPU with threadCOUNT="1" .

yeah I'm also looking to turn one of my 2 nvOC rigs to skein.. any future plans for this?
or is there a manual way to install it?

Download the newest oneBash from the OP.  Until next version, it will only use the tp fork of ccminer; but you can mine dgb.

see:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19380254

Edit:  as bentcrypto requested it; I setup the DGB selection to use zpool auto conversion to BTC; so you actually enter a BTC address for DGB.

I can add a direct DGB payout selection (payout in DGB) if anyone wants that instead.

I want to payout in DGB, please add this option also

Updated the newest oneBash link on the OP to also have a pure DGB mining option plus added an intensity variable.

this is the relevant section:

BTC_ADDRESS="18Y5HYe3BAwAhTAkFLbD52o8NqtrN3DtpF"

DGB_AUTOCONVERT_TO_BTC="NO"                         #YES  NO
DBG_INTENSITY=26
DGB_ADDRESS="DKhCswL8Ff5UyZWdVEbyUVvDhLYMmfVLP7"
DGB_POOL="stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933"

I think it is reasonably straightforward.  If you want to mine pure DGB; replace my DGB address with your own and ensure:

COIN="DGB"

If you want to mine DGB with payouts in BTC; replace my BTC address with your own and ensure:

COIN="DGB"

DGB_AUTOCONVERT_TO_BTC="YES"

I will most likely release v0015 tomorrow with it; and not all requested changes, but a lot of them.  Biggest change will be portability.  One image for all the supported motherboards + almost all Intel mobos (note bios changes are still needed).

Wow fullzero that sounds great! Your ongoing efforts are highly appreciated!

Try it this morning but it's often hang, need to hard reset the whole system with +150cc and +500mc for 6x 1080ti
How to auto type the miner1 password, I need to type it 3 times before the miner running?

No you don't, the script will do this for you. Just wait a bit and see..

Maxximus007 is correct.  I would recommend trying a lower cc if your system is hanging.  mc can be higher:

try +100cc and +900mc
That's great, I will try it later, 6x 1080ti can run normally nvOS with Asrock H81 pro. I would like to try mining Skein also, hope you will release the new version soon and instruction how to mine it.

Will pm on Sunday tired now it is late.

Phil,

I was supposed to get the Racing mobo in via Fedex on Saturday.  However it went off the radar for 2 days, and now is finally physically near me and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.  I will test it out and see what I can get it to do.  I have both the i5 T and i3 T you mentioned you use with this mobo.  I will also test it with a G4560 and let you know.

So I tried to run DGB since it is the new hot trend at the moment, overclock the card as core+200 and mem -300 as some people told in some topics. However the result is quite poor, it only does 650mh per card with that setting. I heard that 1080ti only do good on skein with cc miner 1.0, not sure if it is true or not, but I backed to mine  Zcash since the rig run more stable with Zcash setting at the moment. Anyone get a better result with Skein on NVOC?

For now you can try increasing the intensity see:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19380254

To get opt performance with DGB, you need the Alexis fork.  I will add the Alexis to the next version which will be out soon.

What is the maximum number of NVIDIA 1080 TI cards we can mine using NVOS per rig?  Also what brand and version of the 1080 TI that can do 700-780 sols per 1 viewer's comment?  Have the 1080 regular performance improved at all with the latest mining software or still in the 500s SOL range?

I only have 3x 1080ti so I am not sure how many it can handle.  Using 1080tis will have a slightly lower maximum card limit than 1070s or 1060s, and would most likely begin to have quarks before then.  I would avoid using more than 8 1080tis on one rig (and this might be too many).

I think citronick was using full tdp or higher with an aftermarket card.  I believe it is this one: Gigabyte AORUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition but I would check with him and make sure.

I have that 1080ti it's a monster
Do 220 core 900mem
It's a power limit of 200 you'll get 690-710sols
Without the Powerlimit it's an easy 710+ card

This card looks like a beast; my EVGAs become unstable even at +150cc sometimes.

I delayed posting the Aorus 1080tis (not EXTREME edition) because its still on Windows with AB settings and killing it on NH and zpool.

I need to play with the settings abit more before I move them to nvoc with the most optimized settings.

This Aorus are clocked much higher than the rest of the 1080tis - I tried... Zotac, Asus. The extreme edition has even higher clocks but I dont think I want to pay extra for a few more mhz, in which you can easily optimise the clocks for mining with sw - just get normal Auros edition which is already an respectable OC card.

It currently running on MSI Z270-A Pro mobo with 4 x gigantic Auros 1081tis, open caged designed cards hung like salted fish.... will take a pix when I clean things up a bit. I got 5 x Auros working on server PSU. This Auros is a beast but is PITA on size, cabling and power requirements. Best settings so far is 75%/+155/+0 for ZEC mining, for ETH you can increase the memory clocks too -- most of the settings are results from philipma testing and tinkering at his thread - so credits to him.

yun9999.... If i can guess what you doing with your farm with this 1080ti..... you can run 9 x Auros 1080ti with those new Z270 boards with 7 slots and 2 x M2 but you surely need server psu/pico/bb to complete the job.... this card at stock settings does an amazing 34MHs ETH, fan/cooling design the best I have seen so far and very quiet, to decrease heat, get a blower from the front to back.
