Apart from Satoshi and his team, there are those developers working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything is right. They may never get mentioned but there effort is invaluable.

I did not think that the post will actually get so negative response ; I did say that *if you are interested then read on* therefore if it is not interesting for you please ignore .

I wouldn't take this as a negative response, but as a constructive criticism. I don't know if the problem is in the language barrier or something else, but your post is full of misleading information and ambiguities.
Besides, this is not your private blog but a public forum. By definition, a forum is a medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, so your call for people to ignore your post is unreasonable.

2. Yes we can go as far as Maths BUT as for me there were two basic breakthroughs which did help change the whole era, therefore I did write names of the following contributors but feel free to add some more. Cheesy

No, we don't have to go all the way to ancient civilizations, but I see no reason why you wouldn't mention, for example, Mr. David Chaum when you're already referring to basic breakthroughs?

Everyone knows this, and satoshi even credited those people you mentioned for their hard work as those names were included in the whitepaper, or he may have mentioned them in some posts on the internet, and indeed bitcoin is the synthesis and realization of those ideas combined. Honestly, there wouldn't be a bitcoin had it not been for these brilliant minds who laid the foundation for the concept of 'money without borders' controlled securely by algorithms and a network of decentralized computers and not by a single entity. One thing to note though, these individual discoveries and concepts would remain as is if Satoshi never bothered creating anything out of it. Well it may be used for other purposes, yes, but making its way into what those creators originally envisioned their works to go to? I don't think so. Satoshi just so happened to have these 'thing'  in the works, and was greatly fueled to finish it due to the 2008 recession that happened when bitcoin was conceived.

Not your keys, not your coins!
Reading this thread also makes one more sense to me, "we" who invested our hard earned cash into bitcoin also helped bitcoin to get it's identity.
Scammers, dark market, governements, social media help the popularity of Bitcoin. Developers of Bitcoin are big contributors. Satoshi is one of them. Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney)

People contributed to the forum do help Bitcoin popularity (it is the forum for bitcoin).

I mean this can be stretched to any string we want and this is the new one. ;-)
If we are putting our money then it is helping developers to keep up the pace of development, that spark which makes them think they are on the right track of development.

People do give inputs all the time as to what development there needs to be for better use etc.

So yeah we all are the contributors. :-)

We often say that the inventor of Bitcoins is Mr.Satoshi but if you are interested in the people who did helped him build the concept {indirectly} read on :

Back in 2009 when Bitcoins was invented Mr. Satoshi Solved one Problem that was indeed difficult. In digital decentralized currencies it was easy for them to be duplicated  since they are nothing but a digital File; Due to Duplicating it might have caused : Inflation due to the counterfeit money.
But there came 2 ways by which we can solve this:
1. Proof of Work
2. Proof of Stake
Now in Bitcoins we used : ""Proof of Work""

Can you  say that the invention of AI takes first before the idea of the Computer? It is an obvious criticism, that bitcoin is only inspired by other researches back in 1990s and had been implemented in a modern technological way. Blockchain is just a theory and a simple physical system back then (Blockchain in banking system), and Bitcoin only adapts it's idea as an inspiration for a ""digital banking"". Or for layman's term, Bitcoin is just a mere digitalized innovation of Fiat and banking system.

Therefore, those researchers didn't helped the building of Bitcoins, but rather a backbone of the Bitcoin's invention.

it is like saying the ancient civilizations from 4500 years BC contributed to the invention of cars because they invented the wheel!
in a weird way you could make the connection but it makes no sense. the technology exists, that's true but it takes a real genius inventor to see how to put them together and invent the new technology.

But there came 2 ways by which we can solve this:
1. Proof of Work
2. Proof of Stake
wrong.
there has only been 1 solution that looked like proof of work on which Satoshi made a lot of improvements that led to creation of Bitcoin. there were no PoS, it came a couple of years after Bitcoin and its PoW as a way to remove mining and it doesn't really solve the issues you pointed out, in fact PoS introduces more issues and is much weaker than PoW.

If my memory serves me right, Andreas Antonopoulos used to say that Satoshi Nakamoto created something out of things which were already there before him/her/them. But that does not mean that the creation was not original. I mean, Bitcoin was one of a kind. Sure it has gotten a lesson or two from its precursors, but the Bitcoin that we know now is certainly different from Bit Gold and B-money and those which came out beforehand.

Bitcoin's history is, of course, very deep. It could definitely be traced back before 2008 when its whitepaper was published. There's just so many personalities and previous works and decades of studies and inventions and trials and errors involved. But, at the end of the day, Bitcoin stood out as the one and only. And we certainly should credit that to no other than Satoshi Nakamoto.

I suppose every one would agree that every major technological innovations today was the result of years of scientific discoveries and studies and its a culmination of the brilliant minds who may have collaborated or contributed to these achievements.

The atomic bomb was developed through this paradigm and certainly Bitcoin was not an exception. Imho.

Satoshi may also use other resources that are built and discovered by others, but it is his idea and his strategy to use this resources to make Bitcoin happen. We know that having a help from other and to be able to solve from problems we must encounter some flaws to solve with. The credit will still be with Satoshi who remain unknown and those indirectly creator of bitcoin can be known as well thru the use of their own system in their own platforms.

You say like if it were a binary system PoW or PoS.

There are many other different algorithm that could be used. And PoS isn't even a thing yet.

POS is barely used, no real big project ever used. Ethereum is struggling to make its first implementation. So, PoS isn't even an option today.

It is clear that before Satoshi Nakamoto there were other people who were working in cryptography and that the antecedents that were in that time allowed the creation of his great work.

But it was nothing but Satoshi's determination that brought all his knowledge together to create to Bitcoin.
It has been so revolutionary that people from science, law, economics and technology at first have looked skeptical and then due to the support of the people they decided to support it and have not tired of looking for the way in which people use it for useful purposes.

I know this is not the main point of your post but I can't follow you here. Are you talking about bitcoin with finite supply as against fiat's infinite supply? Or about the prevention of double spending without the need of a third party?

And what is "dublicating" or "dublicated".

With that logic, anyone who contributed to development of cryptography and computers also helped developing Bitcoin, because Bitcoin wouldn't be possible without them. And then you can continuing t on and on.
It could go as far as the people who invented Math.

Therefore the Invention of Bitcoins did not take just a few years of hardwork ; it took decades of work ; done not just by one person but by many others and I do believe we do need to know their names since it's according to me is the most notable invention in the time period right now.

And then you can continuing t on and on. It's really not productive to make statements like that of yours, in science everyone is basing their research on some previous work, it's absolutely normal and those people don't need some special credit for that. Satoshi's contribution is the greatest, so it's okay if people only know about his development.

It was not some Invention by Mr. Satoshi ; but yet a useful application:
Quote
The concept was invented by Cynthia Dwork and Moni Naor as presented in a 1993 journal article. The term "proof of work" was first coined and formalized in a 1999 paper by Markus Jakobsson and Ari Juels.
Another thing :
Mr. Satoshi also made the concept of

stronger since they were the ones who developed blockchain's concept back in 1991.

Therefore the Invention of Bitcoins did not take just a few years of hardwork ; it took decades of work ; done not just by one person but by many others and I do believe we do need to know their names since it's according to me is the most notable invention in the time period right now.

1. *In science* we do study chapters and even books on the history of the inventors ; the people who helped thus I do believe the statement where just knowing the name of Mr. Satoshi is enough and we should move on is delusional.
