I am pretty sure you have some money to replace two breakers if you can afford 2x5870...

Shocked I hope you aren't saying replace 15A breakers with 20A breakers.  That isn't exactly how they're supposed to work

i mean burning your place down trying make btc is cool  Roll Eyes

Um, the breakers are supposed to trip before the wires catch fire.
Right, put something with 2 amps more in the main box Smiley

So if you start a vacuum cleaner in your how, the breakers trip?!

That's why it's good to test your house outlets and map out the circuits ahead of time Wink

Or you could do it the Manley way and use jumper cables on the main service line Cheesy
should be a a few hundred good amps there and no breaker to trip!

Boo.  Just got 2x 5870 and have 2x 5830 on the way from amazon and my breaker keeps tripping after upgrading just ONE of my 5830 to a 5870.

Gonna have to think about a different strategy.

Is it difficult to wire a surface mount outlet box & conduit within a few feet of the main breaker to a new circuit?  I may just have to run cat5 to my garage and put some computers out there.

As luck would have it, garage is on the same circuit as my office on teh OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE HOUSE!

bleh growing pains... if I didn't already have a media server, esx server and s/w aquarium in my office it probably wouldn't be such a problem... the 30" + 2x 20" monitors isn't helping either...
