Should I sell all of my dollars until this security flaw is fixed?

No worries. You're covered by insurance. You know, unlike Bitcoin.

Insurance that's covered by a hackable currency? Cheesy

Reminds of usagi.

The article makes it quite clear that this exploit can be carried out again.. Scary stuff.

When I first saw the title I thought someone or some website had been stolen of 385k actual Bitcoins.. That woulda been scary haha.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
Breaking news! The chinese hacker returned the dollars, but the liquidator and lawyers have stored them at Fort Gox, allowing time to make sure they're returned to their rightful owners.

Meanwhile, back at MintLab...

It saddens me to think of all the wasted cloth and ink that will now be needed to print more money to replace what was stolen.

Madness!

Are you retarded? They're not going to print the stolen money, that would create inflation dumbass.

The problem is the payment processing system for dollars employs very weak authentication and dollars are not intrinsically cryptographically secured. It's sad so many people are exposed to this risk.

Global Network of Hackers Steals dollars worth over 385,000 BTC From ATMs

Quote
The sophistication of a global network of thieves who drained cash machines around the globe of an astonishing $45 million in mere hours sent ripples through the security world, not merely for the size of the operation and ease with which it was carried out, but also for the threat that more such thefts may be in store.
