Moderators have stated that if posts have been made after a bump they will delete the bump.

Bump replies don't contain any useful information, clutter up threads and make scrolling through threads in search of information take more time.

Bumps are only deleted after more posts follow them.

Makes sense!

I remember reading somewhere that a bumping has to be done on threads left unposted on for more than 24 hours.
Don't cite me on that, though.

So there's actually a mod that goes around and checks this stuff?

"Hmm, nope... says here it's only been 23 hours. Better delete it."

I got a message in my forum inbox that basically told me I got a post deleted because I bumped a thread that hadn't been posted on for about a day.

And are we allowed to post "bump" with no furthur comment?

Bumping is necessary, so I ignore these. Do not bump more than once a day or many times in a row, though.

I'm not really mad about it, I'm just curious as to why my post was deleted. If anyone wants to step forward and take credit for it, maybe explain themselves, that would be cool.
