Been more than 11 years since the large majority of the balance (79956 BTC) was deposited to 1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF. Those funds, and the multiple dust/tracer amounts added since, have never moved.

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF

"This address has transacted 424 times on the Bitcoin blockchain. It has received a total of 79,957.21864214 BTC ($1,911,043,890.04) and has sent a total of 0.00000000 BTC ($0.00). The current value of this address is 79,957.21864214 BTC ($1,911,043,890.04)."  [As of 29th July 2022]

Just a cool 2 billion USD sitting by itself, perhaps waiting for a rainy day.

I look at how these addresses had a transaction in 2012-2013 at 20000-40000BTC. That’s where the wallet owner would have been happy if he hadn’t done the transfer until today)

As I noticed, almost majority of the addresses was 10k sats and below. I admire the owner of the address, it seems that the owner donated a huge amount of bitcoin  into different community here in this crypto industry.

Looks like this addresses belong to exchanges, taken a part from fees from trading or platform, fiat exchange or something else. Interesting why owner do not use this bitcoins, looks like they does not care what is going on with BTC price.

How long did that vanity address take to create?  Tongue

Vanity addresses don't take that long to create. Of course the longer they are, the amount of time it takes goes up exponentially... but for a vanity address like that, I think it's 6 digits so it probably doesn't take more than just a few days. It's possible that I could take a few weeks as well. Realistically, a few weeks isn't long to wait for a special vanity address if you think about it.
Probably, it's a normal length only, and could be produced less than 10 minutes depending on what GPU/device he/she uses to create such.

Those small amounts are inbound funds. They're probably tracers sent by others. It's a way of potentially linking two or more addresses to the same wallet (once the funds are spent). They serve no other purpose, other than being a dust donation to the owner of the address.

Bitcoin is not a currency or asset. Its a MOVEMENT
Most probably they could be some early adopters who had a lot of coins in the starting. They failed to realize the potential of btc and then deleted their wallet without keeping a backup, and they must be crying right now.

Or who knows they also could be satoshi nakamoto's own address.

One wallet i see is depositing BTC in intervals may be just to check if wallet works.
But 1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF never taken out bitcoin

lol I saw one: "I am man from Ukraine and Russians take all my money and clothes, please donate!"

\lol/ Did he ever giveout any money to someone?
I have seen many addresses like this in which people keep on begging from. People were also begging from the FBI's bitcoin address that had more than 100k BTC.
I strongly doubt that these people ever get any kind of donation. It seems to be that the same people spam addresses that would likely be viewed by many people. It is really almost a form of entertainment to read the public notes (which by the way are not actually in the blockchain, they are only on the blockchain.info block explorer so someone using another block explorer will not even be able to see them)

Jesus, how are you guys running these websites if you don't know how Bitcoin works or how to do things like verify signatures??

You would be absolutely amazed at how many people in this forum , involved in bitcoins and even ones who do fundamental things for bitcoin actually have no idea what it is, what its benefits really are and what its connection to cash really is. I am amazed every day at how muc more I know than most of the veterans who post in here, purely amazed, serioulsy. But every day I am taught why bitcoin is only worth 300 bucks right now, just flip thru this forum and you will see why too Smiley

This probably is an address of bitstamp, btc-e or some other large exchange (or maybe some kind of investment trust).

I would say it is more likely then not that the coins are being held on behalf of many people

Not really, we'd just get "Bearwhale 2: Son of Bearwhale", probably 30% immediate dip, rebounding in 24 hours then about 10% lower for a week. Dumps are a bit self limiting in that the lower they knock the price, the easier it is to buy them up.... and it's easy to spot a single entity dump, as opposed to mass selloff.

The 1Fee address is probably an MT Gox address although there is no direct evidence, just circumstantial.

There is evidence that many of the bitcoins in the 16cou address were withdrawn from MT Gox. That address therefore is an MT Gox's customer's address.
