Or you could invest in some FTC and use those! Gotta spread the FTC love.

Nah .... the problem with altcoins (for me) is it would take me two weeks to decide which to invest in. And by that time, another six dozen would have been created and I would have to start the process again Wink I'll stick to what I know and understand, its worked ok to date.

True, but at least FTC has been out a while and is established. Most of these altcoins are worthless, but at least FTC is in double digits. Plus, how many pubs do you know that accept it? I think buying £10 worth of FTC now might get you a lot more when you decide to come to one of these meets.

You trying to get me drunk?  Grin

I have no ideas how many pubs accept FTC ...... you'll have to fill me in on that one Smiley

The one in Oxford that this meet is held does.

We had about 18 people in the end Smiley

There was a live stream of the event on YouTube which I don't have link for right now but you'll be able to find it in the next Feathercoin news letter Smiley

Excellent turn-out. Can I just ask if this is Feathercoin orientated or all cryptos? I know I'm in a minority but more into bitcoins myself Smiley wouldn't want to travel 6,000 miles and feel "left out" Wink

It is more Feathercoin orientated BUT I'm trying to get all people that are into Crypto together around Oxfordshire.

Where would you be traveling from?

Yeah I mentioned earlier in the thread I am English but live in Thailand - coming back to UK in Spring Smiley

Yep, thought you did,  I should've looked back through the thread - my bad.

If you're knocking about the UK and as I recall familiar with Oxford I would say come along Smiley

I'll keep you posted of further meets on this board,  the owner of the pub accepts Bitcoin too Smiley

Yeah!!

I will see if I can make it, Is this the pub that takes FTC?

Yes, it's the pub that takes Feathercoin Smiley

I'm actually on the Feathercoin team as so to speak but wanting to have a meet that is more for all crypto enthusiasts Smiley

What, a pub that takes Feathercoin? Does it take bitcoin as well? I don't have any feathercoin Smiley

Buy some. FTC will probably turn out to be a nice little investment given its current price.

I might try to make it down to a London meet, but wouldn't go down there especially for one, but when I do go down to LDN I like to plan my trip around these kind of things.

Yes, he does Smiley  if you're coming in March that would be great as we're planning to have these meet ups on last Saturday of each month, so that would be March 29th,  but I'll keep you posted if anything changes Smiley

Cheers! Might find a bitcoin airline ticket vendor by then Wink

That would be handy... Maybe be should write to Richard Branson and ask if he'll extend BTC payments for flights too? Cheesy

Virgin don't fly to Thailand unfortunately Sad no real innovative airlines fly UK <-> Thailand, probably AirAsia are the most innovative but I don't like them, budget service at normal prices Wink
