Paddy Power always offers novelty bets like this but never lets any large stakes on them. It is just a publicity stunt to get some press. Even if they lose some money the press more than makes up for it.

Would be cool if they accepted bitcoins for betting on their site. That could probably drive price above $100 pretty quick.

I guess they realized how dumb those odds were.

That was a no brainer!

I got £25 on at 10/1 just before they dropped the odds to 7/2.

So the next £250 I put into BTC is risk free  Grin

Lol, think you scared them Smiley
I tried to put £100 on, but they said max bet was £25.... as soon as I placed the bet the odds dropped.

As I was trying to make the bet, they removed it from the site. A shame!

You can still bet on the price at the end of 2017 though...

I wished they accepted bitcoins. A 10/1 odds for btc price less than $100 at the end of the year is a no-brainer bet for those holding bitcoins.

And of course no sane person would take the 9/4 bet on btc price higher than $500 as buying bitcoins would make more sense.
