Oh ... what does it use?

All good, I found it -> https://talkimg.com/

Since you have gotten the solution/answer to your plight you can do yourself the good of locking your thread to prevent repetitive replies or what some would refer to as spamming.

And I'll like you to know and understand that this forum bitcointalk itself is not a scam org, neither has it been told of such action as far as I know. So relax, enjoy your stay, keep to rules and keep learning

You can lock the thread by using the option button at the down left corner of your screen.

I was more or less refering to the link that took me to the thread being a 'scam' not Bitcointalk Forum. I've been on here since 2015 and know of it's authenticity.
Cheers for your guidence

Did I just get scammed?

Imgur has been long time unsupported for use on this forum, i think sometimes around last year, you can make use of talkimg, then with that, you should be able to make post of images if you followed the right formats in doing so, additionally, you may need to use this links in achieving any desired format of posting your image as required.

Image uploading websites/ scripts for Bitcointalk users.

Talkimg.com is one of most favorite sites for image uploads since imgur.com has issues in Bitcointalk.

You can ask and get support in its Announcement thread.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
The forum does not use Imgur image anymore, it's not longer supported in the forum that it's why your image couldn't display.

Perhaps you have to use the talking.com and upload your image hence it will display.
