Payment by bitcoin was still on the site, there is a huge issue of poor training.  It's a legit company.  I'm done with it.  I don't care.    I paid for the item, I got it.   They can figure the rest out on there own.  If they call me wanting help, well, that should be really interesting since I couldn't get help when I asked.

So for me this topic is closed.   Thanks for the feedback.

Which service is that? Tell them to check their Coinbase account for any late payment. If they are legit, they will see that they received the coins and will either refund you or proceed with the purchase.

If it got confirmed on Coinbase’s payment gate, then they have the coins. They just need to check it.

This is what i do suspect on.If the service is legitimate or not and just making out excuses that they havent received the payment.Im aint protecting
Coinbase but on the first place why would sent out BTC payment if they arent already accepting? Why the seller didnt warn nor said to OP
that they arent already accepting btc?

Thanks, I've told them all that and they are being extremely uncooperative.  They won't even give me the wallet number so I can see if I sent it to the right place.  I sent a frustrating email about the whole thing and I'm being ignored.

They said they'l look into it on there end so I'm out of it.  I'm not out anything I just wanted to know if I messed up.  They clearly don't care about customers.

Thanks all for the help.

They removed that option AFTER you sent them the payment?
Or did you take note of their receiving address days/weeks before and after you sent the payment you realised that paying with Bitcoin is no longer possible?
Coinbase has a time countdown for payments. There is no way he took days to mate the tx.

No can do.  They removed that option to pay.

They are dealing with it on their end and refuse to give me the wallet address so I can see if I sent to the right place so for now I'm dead in the water.   It doesn't matter. I'm not out anything.

Thanks all for the help.

I Don't have the wallet I sent it to because it flashed once.
Can you try to make another payment and see which address shows up? Then compare the address that you are supposed to send the funds to with the one that is displayed in your Electrum wallet. That way we can establish if you sent the bitcoins to the correct address if in fact they are using the same address for all the bitcoins they receive.

Well, I'm just telling you what I was told and what happened.   It was last year so I don't know.

I'm not an authority on bitcoin but I know how to use it and what I was doing and it wasn't an exchange.  I purchased an item using their BTC option, it took me to what they called a coinbase processor and I copied and put the address in my electrum send and it was sent.

It was not like paypal. It was just a transaction with someone who uses an outside processor for bitcoin transactions which they stopped but didn't tell anyone.

No skin off my nose, Got my product, the ate the cost as they should have, refunded the overcharge and should be kissing my ass.   A supervisor was supposed to call me back 5 minutes ago.   6 minutes ago.

So yes they fixed it and I'm not out anything but they really screwed the pooch.

You are wrong. There is no "time out". Once a transaction is confirmed, it is irreversible.  So, if you sent Bitcoin, and the transaction is confirmed, there is no way those coins are coming back unless the entity that controls the address you sent them to creates a transaction to send them back.

Also, you can't send bitcoin to an email. That isn't how bitcoin works.

It sounds like you're actually talking about some sort of online money service, like an exchange or web wallet, similar to Paypal... not bitcoin.

I Don't have the wallet I sent it to because it flashed once.   I don't know if where I sent it is their address and they are sitting around when I asked for their wallet last night and again today.  Until they send that to me I can't check anything.

If they no longer use the wallet, or the money is not there but I sent it to the right place then they need to take it up with Coinbase.

I don't care about them. I just want to know if I sent it to the correct place and if I didn't, and it's some wallet that someone forgot about, I remember hearing if the btc is not claimed it comes back to me.

Is that true?

Also, I appreciate your response but I have visual discrimination problems and I can't read when you quote between my comments.   I know it's easier and makes sense but I can't read it.   Thanks.

I actually think you are incorrect about the btc not coming back.  I sent some to an email and they did not claim it even though it was confirmed (it was intentional) and the money came back to me after 30 days.

If they had not sent the product, because really it was their fault since they offered bitcoin on their site and 3 people I spoke to or more knew I was using btc.  The place never took it off their site (it is off now) and they never told their CS.

Oh generous of them to send my order?   I did nothing wrong.  They messed up.  They should have given me my order plus some other free stuff for all they put me through yesterday.  6 hours for them to figure out what to do then today two emails saying the changed their minds.   So don't praise them.  They don't deserve it.  I probably won't buy from them again.  This is just a tip of the iceberg of problems for a company growing too fast.

So I'm just waiting for them to get the wallet address.   They put me through hell.  Not only should they have given me what I ordered but they should have kissed my butt and gave me somethng free, or reduced price.  I spent 5 hours dealing with them and NEVER got to speak to a manager.

To start with you'd need to check the original transaction. Right click in Electrum and select "details".

- Then check the "status", it should have at least 1 confirmation.
- Then check the "outputs" and make sure that the address you sent to is actually the address you were supposed to send the coins to. (Note: If there are two addresses shown, the one highlighted yellow is your change address)

Then I find out they no longer take bitcoin even though everyone I spoke to during the ordering process knew I was using it so it's possible that wallet is no longer valid.  So then what?
Wallets don't become "invalid"... They will remain "valid" forever. However, if they're using a payment processor, then it might be that the payment processor no longer processes any funds sent to a certain address after it has been used. However, they should still be able to recover the funds as they should still have the private keys.

I'm not sure if they looked and I'm waiting for them to give me the wallet number to see if I sent it to the wrong place or for them to track it.
Do you not have a record of the address you were supposed to send coins to? Huh

I called Coinbase and they can't help because I didn't pay from coinbase.  He couldn't even tell me for sure that I heard if the money is not claimed in 30 days it comes back to me.  Would that happen if a wallet is no longer valid?
I don't know where you heard that... but if the transaction has been confirmed, those coins are not coming back to you.

They just ate the cost and sent me  what I ordered and if they don't care about the money I don't, except if I sent to the wrong place and that's on me.
So they went ahead and sent your item? Huh That's very generous of them...

I made a transaction with a seller and paid using bitcoin from my electrum wallet.   They use coinbase to process their transactions.    It went through, got confirmations, shows in electrum it's there but seller says they didn't receive the money.

Then I find out they no longer take bitcoin even though everyone I spoke to during the ordering process knew I was using it so it's possible that wallet is no longer valid.  So then what?
