I am not aware of the political situation of Pakistan but i am aware that a former cricket captain is the president of the country and he might want to attract cricket back to the country and make the general cricketing nations believe that they are taking security seriously and if they are able to give that kind of security then most of the countries who are not willing to tour will be willing to change their mind.

In the T20 series 2020 against Bangladesh the Pakistani security force up to 5000. All surrounding areas of the stadium has been filled to the security of CCTV. Stadium neighborhood shops, Sports complexes, various non-residential buildings have been closed until January 22 to January 25. Bangladesh team will get presidential security with some level of security which includes PCB security agencies, intelligence department, police, Army, commando force rangers, air force. Zimbabwe, ICC XI, Westindies, Srilanka Team also Provided presidential security to Pakistan but there was not enough security staff at that time.

Such security cover is only given to the head of state. It is only a cricket match and such kind of security cover is appalling. To gain confidence of the international cricket community they are acting in the most strangest way.

Wow, the Lahore locals are gonna hate this as their business is gonna be seriously affected for 3 match days (24,25&27) And I doubt that 26th will be any better. So, if they are gonna give presidential security for T20 matches, what's gonna happen to the Test Match at Rawalpindi

, if that happens people might not be happy seeing cricket as the normal living will be affected if there is a cricket match and not everyone will be flocking inside the stadium.
