There was a "lot" of papersafes for sale including the Bearer Bond. I offered to pay .5BTC for the note alone but the seller was only selling the note as a lot with 10 Papersafes. This was in December 2018. I paid a total of 1.1BTC for the lot listed on the Provenance link to acquire the Bearer Bond otherwise the seller was not going to sell it. Hence 1 BTC to "acquire" this piece. Or 1.1BTC if you want to get accurate.
I can confirm this information. I did sell everything that was listed on my papersafe collection page except the silver satoshis. There were a couple of artist proofs and first edition items that won't come up for sale anytime soon.

This is a 1 of 1 item. If it were a 1 of 2 or I had a choice to buy elsewhere then I might have overpaid. I'm happy keeping it. It hasn't been up for sale "alone" since auction.

I'll be transparent in saying I paid 1BTC to acquire this piece. I'd hope the community would have respect for BG4 and the process that goes into making a secure paper wallet.

Huh?

Original winning bid was 0.032
(https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.26634774)

and within 4 months, You paid 33x that price @ 1 btc???   I am not sure how this extrapolates or how you ended up paying 1 BTC for 1 note Huh

I did check eze's thread but the sale price had been removed, as I really question this as well. I call bullshit in fact. Mr.Coin.Shop - Do you have any proof of that sale?  Roll Eyes

This really has nothing to do with the creator at this point. A low ball bid is a bit disrespectful to the seller however.

Good luck with your sale.
