It doesn't. Verification of Electrum only ensures that the binaries are compiled and verified by ThomasV.
Wy’re all paranoid here and should remain to be so. In case it's unknown to someone. After importing of ThomasV's public key to Kleopatra for further verification of Electrum distribution the first thing to be done is to check the authenticity of that key. It can not be done with 100% commitment but the relevant confidence would be greatly increased if following the trust of other well known people. To test that one need to import the public key/s of some one/s else from the list (sure, your personal one) of trusted people and address the "PGP pathfinder & key statistics" using following service https://pgp.cs.uu.nl/ where one can check the confidence generated by ThomasV's public key among others.
