can the system be changed so that granite ( grn ) can be used for payment instead or as well? ...
is this open source - and if so - do you have a github location? ...
The main difficulty with Granite would be probably the X11 algorithm… Independently of that, currently we are not looking to support many cryptocurrencies. We already have one PoW coin and one PoS coin. For another currency to be included, it should offer some significant advantages.
The service is currently not open source; it is possible that some components will be released as free software in the future.
The Github profile contains the website (including terms of service).
i see ...
so as i understand it - the algo is the main issue ... not the addition of another coin ...
closed source is fair if you have the rights to the code - and it is your code ... if not - i do request that you release the code to the public if it contains any open source material in it ... and yes - that is a formal request ...
apart from that your project looks very promising AND if it is available for more than just files - we can look at incorporating it into the granite ecosystem ...
the new granite site has implemented a shopping system that incorporates purchases made within the site - specifically with usd and eu currency ... but currently we are looking at a payments processor that will allow cryptocurrency as well as fiat ... namely aud usd eu bct and grn ...
i actually throught this project may be a viable candidate to allow such backend processing for purchases for the shopping system ...
ill keep an eye on the project anyway - but the closed source scenario means we are at your whim of development ...
unless of course you are willing to make changes on a private contracted level ... then thats a different story
