Due to low transaction volume we are closing region s3-us-west-2 at the 1st of May, 2018 (CEST). This means that we are suspending our services. If you want to use Paspagon to sell your files, feel free to send us an email.

Pity ...

This sounded like a great project. I think you need to refocus the methods you have taken, and actually WORK WITH those that were/are willing to work with you, as we had offered so long ago. Basing this on ONE CryptoCurrency will most certainly speel youyr doom. I hope you prove me wrong.

Bitcoin support was removed today. BlackCoin is now the only currency in which payments are generated, though prices can be specified in many more, including gold.

This thread should be now moved to the “Service Announcements (Altcoins)” forum.

Due to high transaction fees, we’re removing Bitcoin support. This change will make BlackCoin the only supported currency.

Historical data on average Bitcoin transaction fees can be found on the bitcoinfees.info website. According to it, currently it costs over 1.75 USD to make an average transaction be included in the next 6 blocks.

we would be more than happy to have our coins supported ...

if you are interested - please let us know ...

granite ( grn ) - ozziecoin ( ozc ) - droidz ( drz ) - influxcoin ( infx ) ...

tanx ...

Founder of Ercoin and Paspagon
I’ve written a Jekyll plugin which allows selling blog posts using Paspagon. Key features:

  • Support for multiple formats (HTML, EPUB, AZW3, MOBI, PDF and more).
  • Granular payment policies. You can set if and when a particular format should be paid and you can do this per post.

The service is already working and the seller’s manual is available. If anything is unclear, let us know.

This is very interesting, for sure. But I cannot see how to sell the files. Is the site working already or this is just an announcement?

This is a very good tools for sellers who uses wordpress hope you can come up a plugin version for wordpress, where they can install it and activate it and get a short code,it's much easier that way ,this tool will become popular among wordpress users

This topic will be investigated; maybe existing Wordpress plugins like WP Offload S3 can be modified to faciliate file upload and Paspagon configuration. Meanwhile, it’s worth to remind that Paspagon can already be used with Wordpress in a generic way, just as with any other blog platform. Files can be uploaded either using the AWS Management Console or an external tool like Cyberduck and links to payment generation pages can be put just as links to any other URLs.

Looks good for selling digital media, the terms for the seller are kind of complicated for who is not familiar with amazon cloud storage and buckets.
Yes, they may look a bit overwhelming at first glance, although the actual steps to perform are quite simple.

closed source is fair if you have the rights to the code - and it is your code ... if not - i do request that you release the code to the public if it contains any open source material in it ... and yes - that is a formal request ...

The service uses some open source software (starting from the operating system), but not every open source license is viral like GPLv3…

apart from that your project looks very promising AND if it is available for more than just files - we can look at incorporating it into the granite ecosystem ...

As a seller is already able to authorize payment generation on his behalf, it is easy to imagine the service being extended to support also arbitrary payments. This is a feature that is being considered and it may be implemented in the future.

ill keep an eye on the project anyway - but the closed source scenario means we are at your whim of development ...

unless of course you are willing to make changes on a private contracted level ... then thats a different story Wink ...

If some community is willing to pay for a coin being included, then it can be considered. For example, in 2014 Coinkite announced an altcoin inclusion contest in which the final decision was made based on the amount paid. (Currently their altcoins roadmap page states that their integration charges start at $25 000).

can the system be changed so that granite ( grn ) can be used for payment instead or as well? ...

is this open source - and if so - do you have a github location? ...

The main difficulty with Granite would be probably the X11 algorithm… Independently of that, currently we are not looking to support many cryptocurrencies. We already have one PoW coin and one PoS coin. For another currency to be included, it should offer some significant advantages.

The service is currently not open source; it is possible that some components will be released as free software in the future. The Github profile contains the website (including terms of service).

i see ...

so as i understand it - the algo is the main issue ... not the addition of another coin ...

the new granite site has implemented a shopping system that incorporates purchases made within the site - specifically with usd and eu currency ... but currently we are looking at a payments processor that will allow cryptocurrency as well as fiat ... namely aud usd eu bct and grn ...

i actually throught this project may be a viable candidate to allow such backend processing for purchases for the shopping system ...
