So if I moved my coins to a new bech32 would the recovery seed from the original trezor wallet nolonger work?

It still works.

The mnemonic code is always all you need to recover your private keys.
It is just a different derivation path. Electrum chooses the correct derivation path the moment you are choosing which address type you want to derive from the seed.

Also do you need to be using bech32 to use replace by fee. As I dont see that option in electrum with the p2wpkh-p2sh wallets....

No.

You can activate it by going to 'Tools' -> 'Preferences' -> Tick 'Use Replace-by-Fee'.
But i believe it is activated by default.

It would still work, but you would be able to access those coins only through Electrum or any other wallet that supported Trezor devices and native SegWit. We don't know when Trezor is going to support bech32 in their own wallet.

No, you can stick to nested SegWit (p2wpkh-p2sh). RBF is not available in Trezor wallet; you have to use Electrum at the moment. What version of Electrum do you have? If you update to the latest one then it should have RBF turned on by default. If not, go to Electrum settings and enable Replace-By-Fee.

There was an option to choose full segwit support but if I had chosen that option would the wallet be the same wallet and have loaded with the history and correct balances?

No, you would have seen a different wallet. Trezor does not support native SegWit in their web wallet, so I doubt that you have ever used it. You can switch to native SegWit if you want. Your addresses will start from bc1 and you will save a little bit more on fees. However, some services don't suport sending to bech32 addresses (native SegWit) and you won't be able to use Trezor's wallet to see the balance since they don't suport this feature yet.

Hi

I set up all three accounts on the trezor web wallet last year.

Ive set up the wallets again and used the passphrases I had used in the trezor wallet. Now everthing is showing with the history.

One question Smiley  -The script type supported by the trezor wallet is p2wpkh-p2sh which supports segwit. There was an option to choose full segwit support but if I had chosen that option would the wallet be the same wallet and have loaded with the history and correct balances?

I dowloaded electrum and can get the wallet with no passphrase to work but the two with passphrases set up on the trezor dafault wallet show this error - Failed to decrypt this hardware device. If you used a passphrase, make sure its correct.

How did you set up the other two accounts? You should create two separate Electrum wallets for them. Plug-in your Trezor and create a new wallet by selecting 'Use a hardware device'. You should be prompted to enter a passphrase if the plugged in device has this feature turned on. You will have to switch between wallets if you need to use a specific account, so name them properly.

Could you help with this setup?

I have a trezor with 3 accounts, two of which have passphrases. I have been using the trezor default wallet and the passphrases have been working fine.

I dowloaded electrum and can get the wallet with no passphrase to work but the two with passphrases set up on the trezor dafault wallet show this error - Failed to decrypt this hardware device. If you used a passphrase, make sure its correct.

I know the passphrase is correct as it works on the trezor wallet fine.

Please help!

Thanks

Yes.  You can use the "options" button on the seed tab to add an extension to your seed, effectively turning your 12-word seed into a 13-word seed.  You can add multiple words in the extension, and the words can by any gobbledygook you want, they do not need to be part of the Bip39 list.

And of course, the wallet file itself can be encrypted with password.  If you encrypt the wallet file you'll need to enter the password every time you open the file.  Even if you don't use an extended seed it's highly recommended to encrypt your wallet file.

Is there a way to have a passphrase in addition to the seed in electrum? I know you can do it with an a hardware wallet in combination with electrum, but didn't know if there is a way to do it without one and just electrum.
