Welcome back!

Thx. I learned I was one of the first 500 or so accounts on the forum. Pretty neat! It's a bit busier than when I lost access in 2015!

And I'm back. Glad to see the forum still running. Now I've got my password in two password managers so it won't get overwritten by mistake (iOS safari doesn't keep priors).

Thanks again everyone!
Sweet! I'm glad you got your account back.

no word yet, but i'd rather they be careful than fast.  From what I understand, they do a good job with provable identities.  That's cool with me and part of what I paid for!
How exactly did you get locked out of the account? Did you attempt to use the security question which locked you out, you forgot your password or was it something else? It may be a specific case which can only be handled by theymos. If not, I'll ping Cyrus.

You are going to want to include the date, and the email address that you want your password reset to in your signed message (see this thread).

Unfortunately password resets seems to be an unusually low priority lately.

Thanks for the link to that thread!  Looks like I'll be back again shortly!

Hello,

I'm looking into it.
Great! Hopefully everything will check out and your account will be restored!

The message verified for me, but you should add a date as suggested by Quickseller.

This is the person that you should PM with the signed message and a link to this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/cyrus-78147 Cyrus.

Finally got some time to more fully comply with requirements.  I sent PM to cyrus. Hopefully I'll get a reply this time.

With the 5 minutes between posts, I can't reply to everyone individually.

Pharmacist -- Nice to meet you.  I'm a radiologist, but, I'm also one those math/science geeks.  I did undergrad in astrophysics and math, grad school in biomedical engineering...then went to medical school after learning about radiology.  Long story short, I learned how to get really far in to debt and avoid getting a real job until I turned 35.  I'll be 37 soon!

thank goodness I mined bitcoins!  http://www.uofr.net/~bcg/a.jpg

As a Donator you really should be a priority. Hope it works out, I don't see why you wouldn't be sorted out by theymos. You've done everything that's required of you.

Thanks!  I'm not worried about speed.  It's been like a year or more since I've been here.
Can't help you with the password reset, but I was kind of wondering if there were any health care professionals on this forum.  Most people seem to be math geeks or computer engineer-types (respect to both of those).  Happy to meet your acquaintance, doctor.

I sent a similar signed message to theymos in PM too.  It's been a while since i've visited, but, I'm hoping a mod can help me out.  Last time I talked with theymos about this, he said my account was potentially hacked and disabled to prevent unauthorized access and that I could just sign a message with the private key to the address in my script sig.  This took a while as it was on a Casascius bearer bar!

I am Brian Goss, MD.  My username on bitcointalk.org is bg002h and I used the address 1GCDzqmX2Cf513E8NeThNHxiYEivU1Chhe in my script sig.

I have been locked out of my account for a while and I am requesting a password reset. I am a donor too!

Thanks in advance,
Brian
