That is, how to see in my Multibit Transaction Ledger what the USD value of a transaction was when it was executed?  All the $ values in my ledger keep changing to show the present value of the number of btc in the transaction.  The $ value doesn't stay constant from the time of the transaction forward.  That's of no value in putting together data for my tax return, now that we have the IRS guidance on that.  Am I missing something here?

Export transaction history in BTC.

Export the daily BTC<>USD price from blockchain.info

Slap them in excel, use functions to pull the price based on the date given in the history, then calculate the USD value of that day.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot of hourly or minutely data on prices... so it might be skewed.
