I do not like the way you have projected this topic because it somehow looks like you are trying to paint pastors looks bad. Maybe your topic would have been "Man disguised as a pastor steals from members" not that a pastor stole when we know that based on his actions, he is no true pastor abi na Man of God. E dey unfortunate though say all these fake fake people dey use office of pastor take dey do bad, office wey dem normally suppose use take dey affect people life positively.

Well the law is there to take it full cause because pastors are really using the name of God for  to be extorting money from their members who believe what ever that these pastors tell them

We don't necessarily need to go and meet the accused face to face and question them ourselves before we believe what's posted about them on the internet; there are few trustworthy news publishing platforms from which you can still trust their information, which, if you use Google, you can be able to fish out a few of such platforms where the news has been published, and it's enough to confirm how legitimate the news is.

You can also be right on the aspect of getting the OP sued for publishing wrong information, but the person will first of all start from the news broadcaster that first published the story, becoming the impossible.
Yeah there are many potential ways to confirm the authenticity of a news or information asides questioning the culprit or the witnesses. And I’m asking the OP is he went through the processes to at least verify the validity and authenticity of the news before publicizing it, I can bet he didn’t but only saw the news on X and felt like the news sounded interesting to read and decided to bring it over here which is totally out of the question.

The affected person can decide to sue whoever he wants to, the original publisher of the story, OP here or whoever he feels is guilty of the crime, so it could be OP here, I’m sure the OP didn’t any harm before posting this here, but no one would hear that if he starts getting dragged for this action.

OP it’s not every news you Report or publicize. Have you conducted an extensive investigation and research on this issue, like questioning the direct sources of this information and actually confirmed that this actually happened or maybe you just saw the news online and decided to repost it here, do you even know you could be sued if this information you post here happens to actually be false? Or you didn’t think about that? If you’re not 100% sure about this information then I advice you delete this thread and post something that actually has genuine content and not just some annoying Phoenix Browser or Opera News Shitty news.

It is not even about a fake pastor or not, people should always use their brain before investing in anything. Investment should not about you trust someone. It should be able you not let anyone scam you.

My follow countryman i greet una  just say make i dope una this thread on how e take play, i gust from my topic it has said it all, this really got my attention when i saw the headlines the first thing that cross my mind was, why are people still foolish? I just related this post to most of our Nigerians false religion leaders how they use the name of God to collect assets and there build names and net worth all in name of giving ,to me i would say be extremely careful with the type of seed you sold, because most of them oftenly use this words "come and sold a seed to God"
Back to the thread this U. s pastor steals $1.3million
From church members
Quote
"God told me to do it", US pastor who stole $1.3 millions for his church members who are his Christians community in a cryptocurrency scheme
