Yaay. Great they are back online. But I wouldn't trust them again to use the exchange. Too many unresolved problems in my opinion. And learning that Ray was kicked out?
No information that Ray was kicked out. Initially, I read that Ray tried to claim to be the only CEO of Paxful, he has no co-CEO, co-founder in Paxful, and he tried to kick Artur Schaback out. It was written in the law suit document and you can find it on media.

The latest event is after Paxful resumed their business operations, their current team banned Ray account on Paxful and that's it. Ray should not have any accessible to Paxful after his resignation as their CEO weeks ago but as a user, his account should not be banned.

So now "they" have both paxful & noones up and running, to be fair if paxful is at it was when they shutted down imo noones is a better and much cheaper option to use.
Yes everything is a bit strange, i probably won´t go back to paxful if they open up again its a better option out there at the moment.

I don't trust them at all. Give them another 6 months if they keep a clean sheet and we hear of not drama or hullabaloo then my confidence will be back by 50% but for now, it is a no.

So Paxful official back.. I checked it in today but i wont go back and use it anymore. I will stick to the other platform.
I think paxful already have their golden days.
But I am very grateful that the p2p trading websites did not shut down. crypto p2p is a very easy and good way to make a lot extra cash monthly  Grin
Officially Paxful are back and running for trading butRay Youssef was banned with his account on Paxful.

I don't think they should ban Ray and his account. He resigned from Paxful as a CEO but as a user, he should be allowed to use Paxful. I don't think it is a safe time to return to Paxful.

No announcement from their Paxful blog officially like why they resumed their service and who is their current CEO.

I guess Paxful now is under Artur as he tweeted about it hours ago. But I want to see official announcement from Paxful, on their website and their blog page.

I just logged in at Paxful and saw they were back up and running again.
I wonder what they have changed or solved so they can be in business again?

This is what shows when you log on to Paxful since yesterday maybe.

I will also suggest everyone to stay away from Paxful for the time being atleast. Let it run and operate for sometime and see how it goes about. I am not saying that it will scam or anything like that but I hope everyone knows about the conflicts between the owners of Paxful and Youssef's co-founder is a person not to be trusted at least for me.

Are you sure that you've logged to the right website of paxful?

AFAIK, it's that paxful is pushing its users to use Noones.

And looking at paxful's twitter handle, they've got a sticked tweet about their suspended their marketplace since April 10 so, it's nearing a month already. While on April 18[1], its former CEO Ray has resigned.

With all of these news and whatnot, it's highly advisable to keep away from doing any transaction there if it's showing that you're able to do so.

Yes.

But probably wont use paxful even if they open up again i think the other platform is much better. But that just opinion of me  Smiley

That's quite strange! Because the owner announced their shut down and moved their users to a clone website. And now they are back. It seems wired.

I have just checked the status page and it seems some maintenance is ongoing and their trade function is out of service.

https://status.paxful.com/

I haven't logged in yet. I will wait for an official confirmation from the owner before resuming trading.
Paxful did not announce anything with their Twitter. I believe that their platform was not resumed to trade normally after all.

In the past Paxful actively used their Twitter for announcements so if they resume their platform trading, they surely will announce it officially on their Twitter as well as their Paxful blog. We did not see it so far.

If they resume operations, they might have a new CEO. New CEO can be Artur Schaback or an entire new CEO but no announcement from Paxful or Schaback.

Btw, if this news is to be trusted, then the reason for their collapse is likely an internal/legal problem[1]. Not sure which side is doing what since the details are blurry. I'd rather stay away from any platform that has connections to either of them just to be safe.

Drugs, Erratic Dismissals and Feuding Founders: Behind Bitcoin Marketplace Paxful’s Unraveling

There are internal conflicts of interest between Ray Youseff and Artur Schaback according to some articles I read. I think they have issues with regulations too as some other Peer to Peer marketplaces were shut down recent months, not only Paxful.

There are rumors about drug usage and addiction of Ray Youseff but I don't know how trusted such rumor is.

Generally I agree with you that it's not good time to use services from Paxful (if they are back) and new startups from Ray Youseff. We must have more confirmations and time to verify what Ray Youseff did with Paxful.

If you want to continue discussing this, I suggest posting on the thread linked from the quoted post above. This thread is more appropriate for service discussion anyway so you don't have to move it. Just lock the thread and ask more there.

But they're coming back with the new team, Ray Youssef even stated in his twitter to stay away against Paxful. Not sure what's the difference with the past and present Paxful, keep in mind when the project is changed hands, you can expect there's should be an update which could differ from the old Paxful.

However it wouldn't be the exact same team as I see the previous CEO advising people to stay away from it when asked.

I have resigned as ceo, withdrawn my funds and would not trade there ever again. Good luck
No way bro. Not going back. It is a disaster waiting to happen. My cofounder destroyed the company and everyone has left. Beware
I resigned as ceo and took out my funds. I will not be going back or trading there under any circumstances. No idea what will happen there.

they've lost their credibility now.

especially when they asked for kyc to let people withdraw their remaining funds.
Paxful requesting KYC was been so long, if Paxful lost their credibility by asking KYC, it has been collapsed since few years ago.

which was a really sus move tbh, especially for the users who didn't fall in the kyc category in the first place.

and i don't think i will ever use paxful or their other projects again.

i hope no one uses noones.

If I remember correctly the force of withdrawals was because of their insolvency (hence bankruptcy) right? Celsius really had them screwed over. Whilst the Celsius thing was definitely a bad move for them, props to Ray Youssef for accepting responsibility and trying to cover all the lost funds.
