Recent opinion polls have shown that citizens of El Salvador have overwhelmingly rejected his Bitcoin law, with 70% of Salvadorans wanting to repeal it and see it as a misunderstanding and a lack of education on the assets.
Some also say that the adoption of Bitcoin is related to major companies such as Starbucks and McDonald's, and to varying degrees from the general public.
