Just report your transaction to the customer support of paxful and let them handle the case.
Two first priorities when you need support to handle your trade:
- File a dispute
- File a report on that trade

They have chat support, the paxbot and you can just chat your message there about this concern which is likely a scam attempt. If you know that the transaction proceeded successfully, there's no need for you to cancel the transaction.
Support ticket can be created through Paxbot and it's their guide on it. How to reach customer support service

That bot is annoying if a new user is not familiar with it but after a few times, it's useful.

All of those: dispute, report, support ticket will take time to be handled.
I agree that it will take time for it to be handled but I don't think that it will take a lot of time for them to reply with that concern. Especially, if the concern relates to a likely scam attempt on their user and they won't allow any scam to happen on their platform.
I guess that's a matter of urgency if they're able to understand the concern so fast that there are some users of theirs that are trying to use their platform getting engaged into that activity.

Hi everybody, I tried Paxful.com and every buying bitcon trade (luckely small ones) endet in a message from the seller " Received but less payment by 2". No matter what amount I am buying always the same message. Then the seller wants me to cancel the trade to correct the amount which I did not do. Is this a rip off? Any experience ? Thanks for some input
Did you send the payment proof in the trading screen? And if it's same as the actual trade amount or even a round off still you done everything needed so don't cancel the trade here because once you cancelled it then you can't clsim anything, just go with the dispute if the seller is not releasing even after the payment made then the support team will investigate and release or cancel according to the given proof.

You need to be careful when using paxful, though it's an exchange believed to have a global recognition with highest users from Africa, having the trade adjusted from the price given is going to be a bug from your end and that is the target from the scammers, once you are selling, ensure that you remain with the same price the website has generated for you and not the one coming from the buyer's end requesting for adjustment, if you're not going well with paxful you can try out Binance.

If anything similar happens, report it to the support team, if there is a problem on their part, they will tell you, otherwise the other party is trying to scam you, then they will block it.
There are a lot of scammers who try to take advantage of people's lack of knowledge, so reading the terms of use, the terms of the other party and not releasing escrow unless you are satisfied will avoid scammers.

This is the official site I think: https://paxful.com/fr.
Official site: https://paxful.com/
Official communities: https://paxful.com/community

The link you shared is correct for Francais language, you can check with the official site and pick that language at the bottom right corner.

Then the seller wants me to cancel the trade to correct the amount which I did not do.
If you did not receive payment, you can start a dispute or cancel the trade. No big deal.

On Paxful, when you trade, you should use video recorder to record process of the trade. Later you might need it as proof for your dispute.

Is this a rip off?
I don't think it is rip off if you cancel a trade. Just remember if your trade partner tries to create pressure on you to release your coin for him, don't do this. Only release your coins if you receive payments well

If you already made payment, mark it as Paid and wait for your trade partner to complete the trade. Else, start a dispute and wait for moderator to join and handle it for you.

Seems like there is a similar scam ongoing with paxful: https://www.reddit.com/r/paxful/comments/123k9xp/attention_new_scam_in_paxful/

Still, it's not surprising as paxful always had a fair share of negative reviews and full of p2p scammers. This is the official site I think: https://paxful.com/fr.

Is that a message from all the sellers you deal with?
Is it an automated message from the system reflected on the seller's account?

Then the seller wants me to cancel the trade to correct the amount which I did not do. Is this a rip off? Any experience ? Thanks for some input
If you have made a payment, then don't click cancel because it will make it difficult for you to claim a refund. The best advice is to contact paxful support to identify the error.

Can you double check the URL first? because the correct URL should be "paxful.com" and not with the double 'l'

If you're on the correct URL, don't cancel and start a dispute instead as they are trying to scam you - if you cancel, the bitcoins held in escrow will go back to the seller.
