Is this the same service that was offered by living room of satoshi?
Will customers have to pay 10% GST when paying bills?

Great question, I'm glad you asked !
This is a similar service to "Living room of Satoshi" with the ability to pay bills not only using BPay but also direct deposit and post bill pay at Australia Post.

Customers will be charged a processing fee, but under no circumstances will we allow our customers to be charged the GST portion by our services. This is a discussion we have had with the ATO and financial advisors and have worked out away around this charge.

So you're just buying Bitcoin and making a BPay payment?

What XBT/AUD rates will you be using?

It'll be interesting if you can compete with the sell rates and 1% fee of Coinjar & Independent Reserve.

No doubt Coinjar is a great service, I even have a BTC wallet with them, but we are not competing with them!
Coinjar is a fully functioning Bitcoin wallet facility for personal and business use,

We are completely different in so many ways,,,

Users will not come to our website to open a wallet, nor will they buy BTC from us.

Our aim is to be the middle man and process bill payments, direct deposit transfers, offer pre paid mobile phone/tablet recharge vouchers amongst other services.

We aim to be the Segway into BTC bill payments for new users entering the crypto currency realm, and hope to pick up a few long term BTC users along the way due to the shear simplicity of our service.

FINALLY someone with a brain in their head for investments.

Thank yu so much for being the first person in almost a year I have seen in this forum with an idea that has the potential to increase a true demand for Bitcoins. If I were Australian i would so sign up for your services. This is a great idea especially the bill pay options. I wish you the best of the best of luck with this project as this is exactly what Bitcoins needs.

I think the Bitcoin developers should donate 1000 bitcoins since this project is a sure fire way to secure a demand and raise true awareness of its usage.

Good evening every one, my name is Will and I'm the co-founder of Spend My BTC.

In the coming weeks We'll be launching a website specifically for Australian residents who own and use BTC.

As we are all aware, BTC in Australia isn't supported by a lot of business or retailers. So what can we offer?

Our website will let you pay phone and utility bills, speeding fines, eBay auctions, top up phone credit and more using BTC.

I'd be interested to hear from any one who may use this service in the future and even throw a few ideas our way that we could incorporate into our service.

Stay tuned folks!
