I offer stacks of 64 smooth stone for 0.02 BTC. PM me for details.

Also, I suggest LMC is installed and configured.

all right, I set it up, its up and running: 78.47.204.106. there are NO plugins atm, I dont know what to install besides anti griefing tools, and iConomy.

You should make other topic about your server in the forum, so more people will play.

I made a tent to the east. At night you may see a signal flare in the general location. Also:

I've installed a few plugins: iConomy,Jobs,Permissions

At the moment it is free, you just need a few postings in this forum here.

I want to feel your empty heart.
As I said, you are able to donate and get the iConomy(bitcredits, or whatever they end up being called) credit and use it at "unlimted" stock shops set up by me, the admin. You will still be able to do everything mining. So, who is up?

I'm down!

changed my mind a bit:

I can definitivly host the server,  I just would like some donations, especially when resources on my server get short

I think we should integrate Bitcoins, yes. But you shoudnt be able to withdraw money. Because If you can, you can just get a bitcoin, join the server, mine like an Idiot, get a few bitcoins, and withdraw them, leaving the server in a minus.

I am already hosting in my home PC, not on 100% of the time, friends only.

I have been planning on buying some real hosting should I be able to cover the costs.
I would must likely bootstrap the iConomy plugin to manage Bitcoin donations and give some anti-grifing and access to some plugins for those who pay the fees.

I am configuring it so that you can get anything with time and effort, though Bitcoin donations to keep the server up are a short-cut.

possible to integrated bitcoin transactions into iconomy so there could be an entire bitcoin based economy? I dunno if I like paying twice to play Minecraft, but putting some of my bitcoins in to buy some lapis would be pretty sweet....maybe there could even be an exchange like Virwox has on Second Life? maybe....

I'm not a very active Minecraft user so I might be missing something, but why charge for something that is (I presume) universally free?
The idea is that only real bitcoin users will be able to join, because they'll have to pay with bitcoins to get in. I already have a minecraft server that I run for free, but the one proposed in this thread would be for bitcoiners only. Also, it'll help pay for the server.

offtopic: what about a minecraft server for bitcoin users?
We would probably need about 50$ per month, I can get 10 of it (in bitcoins).
I believe this was discussed in another thread, but I'm not sure if it ever got anywhere. I do have an extra 4GB Ram VPS I could use if your interested, but I'd want to at least make some of my money back. Maybe users would pay a small bitcoin fee to get whitelisted? It would be like a pay2play bitcoin server.
Anyone interested?
