My own altcoin is part of the goal for sure, but I think there is a lot to leverage in the coming days with a deep understanding of how the industry will operate and evolve. Timing is everything, and knowledge is power. A little bitcoin can go a long way  Wink

Definitely! Despite the rising price of BTC, cryptocurrency is still in the early days I think. And altcoins are growing in competition.

I wish you the best of luck! I'll keep an eye on your account to see how it goes, maybe I'll be able to say "Hey I replied to the creator of that altcoin's thread once on bitcointalk!!!" one day Wink

That sounds like a plan.   Grin

There is a guide here at least: https://forum.gethashing.com/t/how-to-clone-a-coin-links-and-resources/3833/7
I do not know if it is going to be helpful to you, but it has some pretty detailed information to anyone who wishes to make their own clone coin.
Also how much will you pay for the person who teaches you these things, and will you use escrow?
Those are points that you should point out in your post.

Thanks for this guide! For someone just breaking into cryptocurrency (and with little knowledge of coding) this is a great find.

Good luck OP on getting your own altcoin! (that's your aim right?)

Thanks @onnz423, great resource I will surely get started with this.

Regards to price I really don't even know what I am getting into yet or how much resources someone may have to dedicate to teach someone so I was planning to get an idea from the teacher. In my mind I was just thinking of paying someone hourly and I can pay after each hour or work something out. Escrow is ok too but they usually take fees (something to consider).

Appreciate the resource link!  Cheesy

Hello, I would like to find someone to catch me up to speed with cryptocurrency by...

-breaking down the litecoin source code
-cover the main parameters used in developing altcoins
-premining
-compiling
-wallets

Pretty much a one on one altcoin and wallet creation.

I want to learn, and do not want to just pay someone online to make it for me as that is easy to find.

I am familiar with linux, use ubuntu, mint, and a few other distros. compile code for other things so I am somewhat familiar I just want someone that knows more so I don't take so long trying to figure everything out. -->Huh<--

knowledge for me BTC for you.  Smiley

Thanks
