The number of winning draws a day fallen constantly from more than 20 to almost nothing.
A big number of player accounts with little JBits balance is causing a lot of invalid draws as the total Jbits balance of users drawing lots has to cover the jackpot amount to allow JBits redeeming.
I wrote and sent to them a detailed analyze of the problem including the logic that should be applied to the draw script and my main conclusion was that it didn't perfectly reflected the rules of functioning, for example:
- The player accounts with zero Jbits balance should be excluded of the drawings
- The ratio used in the source code to compute the required JBits number may be wrong
- The partial jackpot distribution explained in the FAQ* should work correctly to avoid invalid draws
*From the FAQ:
Are all the Bitcoins accumulated in the jackpot always drawn?
It will depend on the number of JuicyBits that the winning participants have, if their balance fails to cover the total amount of the prize in Bitcoins, a proportional prize will be distributed and the rest will be re-accumulated in the jackpot for the next draw.
Rather than following my recommendation, finding and solving the issue at its source, they made useless patch here and there a few days ago.
Users are loosing confidence because they consider JuicyBit as a HYIP and me as well regarding the amateurism of the development team.
UPDATE:
I received an email from JuicyBit today. They finally fixed and upgraded the draw script.
All accounts which I'm managing for me and for my family got more earnings again.
I will monitor this to see if it works as well as it should.
