Dear everbody,

I have got 134 GH/s cloud mining from "cex.io" for a while. Also I have got 60 GH/s from "genesis mining" cloud services.
They are lifetime based and GH/s from cex.io is tradeable and refundable via exchange trading. Also, I will prefer genesis mining for altcoins later.

Therefore, I have got 4GH/s from cloudhashing.com It is old style of cloud mining as contracts as 12 months.
It will be ended the first week of December. I paid 299 dollars for it at last year.

Other on the hand, I am victim of scam of Bitco Miners at the date of January of 2014.
It said that give 3 months period contracts. I paid 100 dollars for 50GH/s at that moment. There is a link below.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buyer-beware-bitco-miners-scam-399608

Also I paid nearly 60 dollars for 5GH/s Butterfly labs cloud mining contracts last year. So It has been placed into a temporary receivership pursuant to court orders. You can visit their website.

So What shold I do ?
Even if cex.io is not profitable, it is the most logical cloud mining service I have ever seen.

You can sell your GHS at cex.io and keep buying BTC. You don't have to cloudmine. There are also new companies that offer GHS at a lower cost, they have a lower maintenance cost too.

I have used Ghash.io for 5 months. The difficulty goes up and income goes down. End of June this year I bought 2 pcs S2 Antminers for 4000 $
Got good income first month, but it declined month after month. I am now down in 0,5 btc/month and that does not pay electricity bill.
I am now closing down this gambling, I lost 1000$ on this game. I strongly advice you guys not to start this game. Even if you buy a cheaper machine, it will be obsolete in 3 months time.
Those who win is probably those who buy and sell bitcoin.
PS. I am in Sweden where power cost is very low, but still no chance to reach ROI
The winner here is the electric company and those who built the machines. The naked truth!

you´re absolutly right !
i bought all of my miners as used... f.e. if the miner gots 1 ths i only pay max 50% of it in euro - so, max 625$...
then you are ROI @ 3 - 4 month to get a few bucks over!

to start this business with new miners u got to have a lot of money to play with or a really cheap distributor where u can buy.

a week ago i switched all miners with actually 28 ths from cex to btcguild and i´m better... only leave my scrypt miners there for doge & ltc and i´m fine with this

I have all my Antminer S3+ mining on ghash.io, I've also noticed that I'm getting less than the calculators are saying I should get. I will give it a few more days to get it confirmed.

why would u use ghash when there other beter pools with 0% fee's!

There is a recommandation of eleuthria here : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9395478

hah! buying ghs is the best what you can do -> FOR CEX !
you pay fee´s for every transaction and pay fee for holding ghs... that i know!

i switched my miners to eligius and get the first day about 0,42 and the second 0,26 ... but the delay between the payouts are to high (sometimes)...
bitminter is a good pool to but since the last increase of the diff the luck is verry bad Sad

whats another good pool, identical to cex but little more fair ?!

Previous bad luck can make you suspicious but doesn't predict future performance. Do you know Cloudminr?

yes, have read it... will contact it next days do ask conditions.
you got mining power there or any experience ?

I am advertising them and I got a voucher of 18 Ghs with them a few days ago but I didn't deposit /withdraw.

The signature campaign is well organized and the website is easy to use but I don't know the owner and didn't visit their operations.

ok... 18 ghs voucher Wink fine but when you are in with about 25 - 30 TH/s its another one ... i spend a lot of money in equipment and also a lot of my time... anyways i´m realy unhappy with cex. they dont care if anything is wrong - and there is no transparency on it ... they earn on exchange fees, trade fees, and a lot of other things.

when u look what your 18 ghs will do nothing more than negative balance ... cool ...
my highest ghs was 200 i think but maybe u remeber - a few weeks ago the ghs market dropped so everyone gets negative balance cause of the maintanance fee ...
i got luck. i sold a few hours bevor price drops... now i investet in some real cloud services and get my payouts per day and per week ...
i´m startet leaving cex today and switched the first 10 miners to eligius ... see whats happnd Wink

If you were unhappy with cex, you were right to leave it. Cloudminr is very new but seems very professional; my balance is positive so far

ahm.... i´m talking about real hardware i´ve got on cex mining ... not ghs´s ?! do you try to make some referals Wink

Yes, you have real hardware to connect, I don't have any hardware with cloudminr or cex but I got Ghs from having a link to their website in my signature; they pay well but I cannot write my referral link in my signature.

Pool Recommendations

For users looking for a new home for their miners, I highly recommend BitMinter, Eligius, and p2pool.  I do not recommend Slush over any of those 3 options, and I actively encourage users to not use Discus Fish or GHash.io.  Other smaller pools exist which are run by honest people, but due to their size, it is difficult to recommend them to the average miner.

CEX.IO - look at GHs price in last few days there.. everyone escape from there.. but now is even too late..   Roll Eyes

yeah ! i used cex only for make "daytrade" on ghs to make some experience in trading... not professional but a few bucks are in...
sold all my ghs right on time before btc market goes up these days so, yes i´m leaving to.
only a few people read the toc and understand whats realy written there Cheesy

2 - 3 weeks ago they got total hash power on mining btc of 64 phs... now they lose over 10% of the miners...
the last weeks they got trouble with the uk and nl stratum server and switched port from 3333 to 3334 without making an announcement...

thats happend to me over night so not all of my miners where configured for a backup pool... Sad

cex got a good concept for make money but much more for the operators and less for the miners!

i know about calculating, diff´s and luck but what cex do is probably not fair. they make a huge amount of money everyday for nothing!

every other pool i tried pay out more than cex. the only problem is that the payouts are realtime on cex an in a short intervall cause the high pool speed.

btcguild is ok but a has pool fees
bitminter is one of the best (imho) but to low speed
eligius is superb but has a payout que (the worst case thats happend to me was waiting 5 day for my payout of 1,2 btc)
a lot of other small pools under 1 ph/s  that are ok but not interesting

i´ve setup my own pool these days to mine to myself - maybe i´ll make it public, dont know right now - calculated est to solve a btc block is 68 days...
when waiting for payouts then it has to rentable  Angry

Dr G has a nice thread on this, I will search for it and post it here. ^Smile^
It has a nice explanation on why there are such a huge difference, between the calculations you do and what you get, and it mostly have something to do about luck, not being counted.

whats the way you do ?
i´m on ghash since 4 month with about 25 th/s in different hardware miners... especialy the last 7 - 10 day´s you can see a lot of "bad luck" ... 3h, 3h, 21min, 1h, 7min, 1h, 1h, 1h, a few sec., 3h etc...
the badest day i got yesterday! i make 0,19 btc in 24 hours there... that p... me of...

WOW Ok first let me say you need to look around, 25THS should get you no less than 0.36 day EVER!!! no matter what the luck is and should be able to even go up to at least 0.432 on good lucky days

Now you see why this next statment is so true

ghash is the most expensive 0% pool in the BTC universe

No one can put Ghash.io/CEX.io in a better perspective HAHA

Edit:

I had to add this I found this while tracking my transactions as usual, there wer a lot more again but this one really stuck out.

2014-11-13 22:22:47   -0.00002002 BTC   0.00005025    MAINTENANCE   -   Shares 42496 , Cost: -0.00002002
2014-11-13 22:22:47    0.00000564 BTC   0.00007027    MINING   -   Block #329828, Reward: 0.00000564

this was on 10GHS of cloud, a loss of 0.00001438 WOW haha

so now lets see what if we had
100 GHS of cloud it would be a loss of 0.00014380
500 GHS of cloud it would be a loss of 0.00071900
1000 GHS  would  result  in  a  loss of 0.00143800
2500 GHS  would  result  in  a  loss of 0.00359500

Trying to mine with anything more than 2500GHS is just stupid. HAHA

First I read about low cloud mining payouts and now pools. The future is not looking bright for ROI hunters Cheesy

No just stay away from Ghash.io they are the biggest unethical pool I have ev r seen. i have compared their cloud to a lot of other cloud pools I compared my end result BTC from my machines witrh a lot more mining pools. In the end at the end of the day Ghash.io makes more in profit from its pool members. they flood you with numbers and statistics to make you feel like you reall are earning, its not until you go out and look around that you really se how unethical this mining pool really is.

Even now I have a 3 month ROI on the machines I buy. I have a system I put together and I work my machines to do this, but it can be done even with BTC prices at their medium levels. Its not easy and some days are way better than others, but it still can be done Smiley Just know GHASH.io is not one of the pools I use to do this as their profit taking is larger than their pool members can ever get. if you mine with Ghash.io your ROI will be 8 months on machines you own, and 16 months or more on your cloud there. Most of the other top 10 pools uder them (discuss fish being one) will get you and ROI in about 6 to 7 months, and if you do what I do with your machines you will get 3 to 4 months ROI. Its all about what you do when you do it and how you do it.

whats the way you do ?

I have three Antminer S3s hashing away at ghash.io.  They have consistently been preforming at about 1.35 Th/s.  My payout at that hashrate should be about 0.01714295 btc per day according to:

https://alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator

My actual payments are much less though.  According to blockchain.info, I had a payout of 0.01094646 at 13:50:56 on 2014-11-04.  Then, a little more than 24 hours later at 14:08:48 on 2014-11-05, I had another payout of 0.01363418.  That's substantially less than what I should be earning, correct?

Any idea what's going on?  My other payouts over the past few days are consistent with this, but at the old difficulty level.

Thanks.

Are u getting these payouts for 1.35 Ths @ GHash ?

Their fees for cloud mining are on the high side.

this is simple the reason is because 50% or more of the blocks you earn in a day you are actually loosing BTC. they charge you maintenance fees on every share the cloud submits but they only pay you reward on N number of shares from their PPLNS pool setup. So you will get a reward for a 1 hour to 3 hour block but the fees are higher than the reward resulting in you loosing BTC on 50% or more of the blocks mined in a day. they roughly solve 29 blocks a day here is an example of the payouts for 1 day resulting in an overall loss of BTC for the day. the below calculations are based on only 2 GHS of thier cloud imagine if you had more.

The thing they also do is if you have machines pointed at the pool and you own cloud there you will have to look very closely to see these losses. If you want to find out, take your machines off the pool and point them somewhere else and just let the cloud you own run by itself. Then you can see by owning cloud and pointing machines there it is costing you BTC thast your machines are paying for in the end. when  the reporst show you your earnings it combines your cloud reward with your machines reward so you wont see the reward on your cloud was lower than the fees involved in the cloud.

Dont take my word for it, point all your machines to a different pool for 5 days, then go check you reward stats on Ghash.io. I bet you will see a lot of this

Based on these calculations a member with 1600 GHS on Cex.io cloud will actually LOSE 0.00947792 on his cloud mining for the day.

Ghash.IO one of the best pool but after hearing that they paying very less quite shocking
Here is my experience
Bought 10ghs on genesis mining and get a payout of 10000satoshi after a day whereas got 10000satoshi on ghash.IO after 3  day
What do you think? ?

Even 10000satoshi after a day against 10GHs is too low in my opinion. Below is what has been reported about cloudmining.website...

Sent these guys 0.01 BTC for 10 GHS.

Is that true about merged mining?  I thought mining other coins didn't affect the amount of btc you mine?
It doesn't. Like others said, it's probably luck. How long have you been mining for? It should even out in the long run.
Over the long run merged mining should allow for someone to have a slightly increased EV over solo mining (if on a large enough scale)

Yeah, I get that but it seems to be a lot of variance for such a large pool.  I tried to find something about variance on the website, but I don't think they list it.

Even at that size they could go dry for a bit or get super lucky...

On slushes some days I have 20% luck :S... some I have 300% luck.

The pool itself will vary based on luck, over time you should average the estimate but depending on luck it may skew one way or the other.. If Ghash.io has an option to display the variance that may have the answer you need..

Thanks.
