Yep it was unsolicited email and yep it doesn't work in my country.
Just curious what are the chances of this type of scammer withdrawing money on a platform that possible to chargeback.

Almost zero, they have all your info, and you need to attach your bank and your credit card to your Paypal account and you need to verify that you own the bank and credit card by making a transaction, and withdrawal is not instant you'll have to wait 3 to 5 days to get your Paypal funds transferred to your bank or Credit card.
Paypal is too good as a third-party payment processor they screen every transaction and flag down if they find anything suspicious.

Thanks, I canceled the request.

You can double check this if you're really worried, by initiating a forgot password! you should receive an error if you don't have an account associated with the said email.
The trick works, my email isn't yet registered. Weird enough to say, Paypal can charge even someone who isn't a user to pay for someone else's bitcoin purchases.

Do you mean their platform buying service? afaik it's not available in indonesia (or was this country because of your vpn or something?). Was this an unsolicited email?

I'm just worried that my email is registered without me knowing.

This morning I got an invoice message $ 549.99 for 0.049 Bitcoin and I made sure I really headed for the official paypal bill (not phishing). And strangely the message landed in one of the emails that I had never registered. Have someone ever bought Bitcoin in Paypal and how it works?

They cannot register your email without activating the link they will be sent you on your registered email, and you cannot use your Paypal without providing basic info like email or location you have to KYC before they let you use PayPal for purchases obviously it's a phishing email I used to have Paypal but I'm more on Crypto I abandon it but they do have tight security, these scammers are brave enough to use Paypal to scam they have tight security and they can trace you because you need to provide bank details and debit card before you can transact a big amount, they always monitor the location of their users, but still Paypal or other accounts that involve your fund you should practice good security.

Contact the support team before clicking on any link, as it may be social scam or for any reason, but remember that no one sends money for free.
It is possible that there is an incoming error and therefore contact the support team.

Anyway read ---> A New Wave of PayPal Invoice Scams Using Crypto Disguise and ask the support team how to get rid of such a scam.

This is another type of tricky scam technique. Please read HERE. You might have given out your email id to someone on the internet and it got into the hands of scammers in the end, hence you are receiving these mails.
On the other hand, try contacting paypal, they are already aware about these problems.
