As I don't have a second phone and mainly use bitcoin from home rather than on the go I would be interested in mimicking this using my old unused notebook as cold wallet and my PC as hot wallet. Is there any wallet software that allows for doing that?

So do I understand you correctly? You want:

- offline PC with wallet to sign transactions (cold storrage)
- normal PC with normal wallet to transmit the transaction to the network, but has no private keys, thus hacking this machine is useless

Hi, didn't know which section to fit it best so I put this question here as it is interesting for Beginners as well.

I just saw the announcement of Bither in the Project Development section.

And one function is particularly interesting: The ability to setup transactions in the hot wallet and sign them from the cold wallet without a need to bring the cold wallet online.

As I don't have a second phone and mainly use bitcoin from home rather than on the go I would be interested in mimicking this using my old unused notebook as cold wallet and my PC as hot wallet. Is there any wallet software that allows for doing that?
